22 year old centre back Gavin Gunning has made the switch to Birmingham city from Dundee United, the deal reportedly worth 500K plus future incentives that could boost the transfer to 675K. Gunning won't be joining Birmingham to the end of the season. It is believe the player has signed a 2 year contract with Birmingham worth £109,200 a year.
Gavin Gunning took to twitter to express his delight at signing for plus, "I can confirm that next season I will be pulling on a Birmingham city shirt to run around the pitch, I am delighted to be given this opportunity, and will relish the challenge.
Gunning is no stranger to English football having played for Blackburn Rover until 2011, although his failed to make a single appearance for the club. He has also played Tranmere, Rotherham, Bury and Motherwell before making the switch to Dundee United, where he has made 71 appearances scoring 5 goals.
Birmingham City manager Trevor Francis said in a press conference, "Gavin is an amazing player and at the young age of 22, he has a very bright future domestically and internationally, his record for Dundee United speaks for itself and I can't wait to see him pull on a Birmingham City shirt.

The second signing in the January transfer window is Chelsea's Milan Lalkovic. The 21 year old winger/striker has joined Birmingham for what is believed to be worth around the mark of
180K and has with future incentives making the total transfer value 245K. Lalkovic will be joining up with the Birmingham squad on the 5th of January. He signed a contract which last till June 2014, it is believed to worth £377,000 a year.
We haven't been able to ask Lalkovic what he feels about the deal but we did speak to his agent, who said, "Milan of course is delighted at the chance to be getting more first team football."
Milan Lalkovic has set to make a appearance for Chelsea and while on loan at Walsall he played 18 games, scoring 3 goals.
Trevor Francis said, "I haven't really watched Milan much, but when I have watched him he has been excellent, he can play anywhere on the wingers and upfront, the guy is only young so he can be a massive player for us in the future"
