Need Help on FM

Hello guys, this is my first topic in this forum. Since i am a fan of being a manager of a football team, i've decided in 2012 to look for more complex games than the FIFA 14 Career Mode. I've took a look on FM and i was kinda amazed by it's complexity. The problem is, when i've got the game, in the 3 past editions, i was loving the game, but my team never seemed to play good ! I've got tactics from the internet and was trying a lot to let my team be good (I am Liverpool), but in the end, i end up being trashed or not winning easy games. Can anyone help me and give me some instructions on how could i be a good manager in this game ? Also if poosible, can you give some transfer strategies and tips ? Thanks a lot for whoever will answer (Sorry if my english isn't good enough)​

Ha thank you ! Do you think that creating my own formation would be better and more affective than the one i downloaded ?

In the long term yes for sure, it gives you the ability to be able to tinker to fit your exact scenario instead of a pre-made build. However what might be better for someone in your situation is grabbing a pre-made formation/tactics and editing it so that you have that starting block, instead of jumping head-first into manual mode so to speak.
