I thought i would start a new game with January update in place with the team i have followed since i was a boy, Spurs. I never usually play as Spurs preferring the thrill of taking lower league teams to the premiership and than onto European glories, so am looking forward to different challenges and pressures, bigger budgets and working for impatient chairmen like Daniel Levy :)

My Aims
- Bring the glory glory days back to the lane and emulate "Sir" Bill Nicholson
- Try to bring on young players, retaining a core of British players, using the excellent new facilities at the club, Hotspur Way.
- New Stadium is absolutely key to the progression of the club from regular top 6 team to title challenger.
- Use my squad to maximum employing a 1st team for league matches and using younger players in Uefa Cup/League Cup/Fa Cup first few seasons to bring players on.

Tottenham Hotspur FC Major Honours
- League Title (1951,1961)
- FA Cups (1901,1921,1961,1962,1967,1981,1982,1991)
- League Cup (1971,1973,1999,2008)
- Uefa Cup/Europa League (1972,1984)
- Cup Winners Cup (1963)

The club has won 17 major competitions placing it in a respectable 5th place in England most successful teams, recently over took by cash rich Chelsea. My aim is catch up north London rivals Arsenal, currently with 26 within 10 seasons no mean task when competing with the likes of Chelsea,United,City,Arsenal,Liverpool etc for a place even in the top 6.
First things first look at staff and get rid of any useless employees, and than evaluate my current squad. I am going to be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation as spurs have a very strong midfield with lots of creativity but we also lack Cf's so playing one up top could be one way around that. I worry about the options we have at Fb as apart from Kyle Walker looking very weak and Lb is a bigger area of concern. I will probably spend a large chunk of the £62,000,000 i have on the fb positions.

As you can see from my squad report pictures i have a lot of work to do sorting out the defensive. To raise money i have decided to list Dawson and Kaboul for sale, Dawson because he is too slow too play in my formation and Kaboul unfortunately is too injury prone, and with his contract running down maybe its best to get some money for him to reinvest into the team. Danny Rose has some potential as a Lb but i envisige him playing more of a role in my cup team for the upcoming season, Naughton provides some cover at Rb so i need a starting LB as a priority signing.

In the Midfield cant go wrong with a midfield of Sandro Paulinho and Erikson in front of them in the number ten role, and with reserves like Dembele and Sigurdson that is a real area of strength. Wide areas may need futher analysis as i dont think lennon is best suited to the IF role Lamela and Townsend on the right seem strong, so a LW that can cut in will be needed maybe selling Lennon to raise some additional money would be a good move.

And up top i cant see me spending much money there first season as feel other areas are in more desperate need of sorting and Adebayor and Soldado will do for the first season aim of a top 4 place.
Good luck! :)
