Generally speaking, what is the lowest conditioning % that you like to have your players start games? Also, at what point do you consider substituting a player in-game in order to keep them from getting overworked? I'm curious to see if I'm resting my players prematurely or not. Being a lower league team, we don't have a lot of players with exceptional natural fitness and/or stamina yet.
before the start of the game i like to have most players on above 96%
because i more or less love to play with high closing down and i hate bastards who dont work hard on the pitch i make sure everyone are in good condition for the match.
i don't often start players with condition under 95%, even though theres nothing wrong with that.
and when i make the substitutions it depends on how the match is.
if im winning then i will 1 by 1 change out the ones who have the lowest condition in the game.
if its not a big difference and we are winning the game, i might also let them play the whole 90 minutes but i will lower the tempo and time waste a bit more.
usually i dont end up with very tired players after the matches.
BUT you can also give them rest from training.
i usually give everyone 1 day rest after every match(only those who played get rest).
