Just watched the Man Utd V Everton semi, and I'm not sure what happened on that penalty shoot out. I understand that Berbatov is a "lethargic" player or whatever it may be called, but there was no need for a penalty as bad as that. And then Rio? Im just not sure with the selection on those penalties.
I wasn't really shocked with United starting lineup, and most of them still played well, i'd even go as far as to say Macheda played better than Tevez, and when Gibson was moved out wide he was pretty good... But those penalty takes really confused me :(
I'm not a Man utd fan but chirst Berbatov just seems so lethargic all the time. I don't think Macheda played better than Tevez , Tevez is one of the hardest working players in the Man U squad and doesn't even know if he'll be there next season which is just a frigging joke.

I just can't believe the money they spent on Berbatov and that's how he repays them. If he had scored people would of said it was cheeky but he didn't and just looked a complete and utter twat.

I know people say that "thats his style" or whatever, and usually i seem to accept it. But even after he took that penalty he didn't look like it mattered.
Tevez's running is one of the things, i almost dislike about him. He works hard for the team, which is something that i admire, but when he runs all around the pitch he out of position alot of the time, today Macheda was in good positions to link up with everyone on the counter, get me right i think tevez is amazing, just keep the amazing in the final third and he's be even better ;)
Footballs not just about the final third though , I understand what you mean but I like seeing players who try their best , getting back to help defend etc just looks far better and thats what you see from Tevez , Rooney and sometimes Ronaldo, just makes them that little bit extra. If you just wanted a goal scorer you could get Kris Boyd from Rangers , even he tries harder than Berbatov.

I like to watch good football and the premier league is meant to be the best and for me personally I just want to punch Berbatov and tell him to frigging move.
I would take Tevez over Berbatov any day. Im a liverpool fan, I would do almost anything to have a player as brilliant as him. His work ethic is phenomenal, I can hardly think of a comparison. Oh yeah, and hes pretty tidy in front of goal too......

It almost seems like Berbatov decides in advance whether he wants to try or not. Ive seen him run and hes pretty quick, could easily give any defender a scare. And his technique and close control, his deftness of touch is superb. He looks effortless, but with performances like today, Tevez would win hands down.

I thought, looking at the line ups, that Everton would be comfortable favourites, taking in to account how well that team performs week in, week out. Everton didnt have a great day up front, and on the whole United lacked the usual cutting edge which has been apparent with the recent downturn of form.

It was just a battle at the back, both pairs of centre backs were rock steady, neither team could beat them. Jagielka and Baines are a quality pairing. Almost as good, if not just as comparable to Vidic and Ferdinand.

I understand what ya sayin about the centre backs but where does baines come into it, lol. D'ya mean Lescott?

But yea today was a game where all the attention was on the centre backs, united played very well, but just didnt have the final touch to it, Unlucky for them they did not get a pen, which in my eyes and most probably every1 elses was a blatant foul.
But as it happens alot ya get some ya dont.

But as far as berbatov is concerned he did make a twat out of himself, But d'ya blame him, they pay x amount of money for him and they leave him on the bench.
No wonder he decided to lack passion at times.
Yeah They Pay X Amount Of Money For Berbatov And They Play Macheda Welbeck Whoever Instead Of Him!!!!

And Im Really Surprised That United Didnt Win Because They Had Mike Riley A.K.A The United Fan Who Has A United Tattoo I Think They Would Of Won If it Wasnt For Berbatov He Should Of Taken A Penalty Like L.Baines He Smashed It Into The Roof of The Net so Foster Had NO CHANCE

Yeah sorry, meant Lescott! However, I do rate Baines very highly, I think he is a quality left back and thouroughly deserves more england call ups. He beats Bridge in my book.

Screw Berbatov, how do you think Tevez feels?! I think that for a player of his talents I think he is just being used and abused at United. Ofcourse theres Rooney who gets first team every time, and Berbatov who is phenomenal when he wants to be, but Tevez is just as good as either. I highly doubt him staying after this season unless he can be guarenteed a bigger role at United, which I cant see happening.

Ye i can agree there. From what i see of tevez he works his balls off for any team he plays for, i noticed sum1 sayin he drifts out of posistion, yea becoz he is the kind of player who will help out defensivly also who wants to make goals for his team too. its not that he just wants to drift out, he wants to be involved as much as he can afterall when ya see a player like him on that ball with fast feet then u cannot really know what he will do with it.
Great passer also lethal at times infront of goal.

I would want out if i was him. there are alot of teams out there were he will get that starting place all most everyweek.

I don't think either of them have either thrived other than as a lone striker, they're completely different players, players who should compliment each other, but nothing seems to be happening with them. And on the Tevez/Drogba or Anelka front, i don't think his work rate matches the style Chelsea currently play with, it seems to me that their players have certain positions and rules to stick to, and that's how they play.

Back onto the semi's, i just watched this video on sky sports and it seems that berbatov didn't care much even in a post match interview...

I still think Berbatov can play better and with more energy. But the current formation and tactics united have are somewhat not playing to his strengths.

I dunno. I mean, you never know which Berbatov is going to walk on the pitch, and there seems to be no way of telling when or why. Hes played fantastic football in all competitions. One match in particular was earlier in the FA cup, cant remember against who, but I was listening and he practically ran the show. Then he plays like he did on sunday...

Is it really the tactics? If it was wouldnt he be a bit more consistant, either for better or worse.

Well what else can you blame, if you look at him when he was at spurs he was much better, getting involved and getting past players and scoring all kinds of goals, in 1 season he has changed or the tactics have how else can you explain it?
cuz at spurs he was their outlet. there best player by a mile (with the exception of robbie keane) so he had to work harder for the team.

but at united he has teammates of a much better standard and players like rooney, park and tevez will do the dirty work for him.

so he plays a lot more relaxed at united and doesnt try as hard.

my opinion is that he's just simply a lazy b*llocks and always has been haha!
