The Wonderstar Central League of Legendary Premier Players League Factor

Amazing name, right?
This isn't a game, more an experiment/story. I've put 5 players under 23 who are rated as the best players in the game in each of the 20 Premier League teams, and I've drawn 1 of the top 20 players in the world outside of the Premier League into each team - leaving some very good teams and giving hope that this will be an unpredictable story. Here are all the transfers I have made.
I will update the games like MrJK updates the Chairman Game, game-by-game and a look at the league table. I hope there are some surprises in the table. There will be twists through the story, which I hope will go on for a while.
Cool! :)
Looks good and great idea :DD who shall go down :s?
Liking the look of the Liverpool side there, definitely!

GAMEWEEK ONE

So, in gameweek one, Norwich start their season off well with a 1-0 victory against Aston Villa, despite being reduced to ten men in the second half - Ricky van Wolfswinkel being the man with the goal.
Meanwhile, at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea contested a surprisingly well fought battle against Cardiff City - the Blues eventually winning 3-2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's double for Cardiff wasn't enough to see of Chelsea as Oscar and Ramires scored three between them.
At Selhurst Park, Newcastle United managed a 1-0 victory at home side Crystal Palace - Colombian striker Radamel Falcao being the difference between 1 point and 3.
The only 0-0 game this week was, surprisingly, between Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park, both teams being evenly matched that neither side could get a goal. Liverpool's Kolo Toure picked up player of the match for the Reds, while captain Phil Jagielka was player of the match for Everton.
Meanwhile, at The Circle, Hull City managed a respectable 1-1 draw with Manchester City thanks to a late goal from Shane Long. Fernandinho had scored the earlier goal for the Citizens.
At Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo's first appearance for Swansea City didn't end well, as despite his second half goal, the Red Devils came back in true Manchester United fashion - with two goals in the 82nd and 86th minutes from Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck. An unfortunate 2-1 defeat for Swansea.
Another draw came at St Mary's, as Southampton faced Fulham. Victor Wanyama's first half goal was then countered by Darren Bent and Kostas Mitroglou scoring in quick succession, before Rickie Lambert levelled the scoring late in the game. 2-2 was the final score.
West Bromwich Albion had to travel to the Britannia Stadium this week to face Stoke City. It was a close faught battle, which was won by West Brom after a first minute goal from Thomas Muller on his debut. Stoke then couldn't get a goal to counter this - leaving the scoreline 1-0.
Meanwhile, at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland hosted a strong Arsenal side - who brushed the Black Cats aside with a 3-0 victory. Olivier Giroud got the first goal, followed by a Lukas Podolski goal. Giroud completed the rout with his second goal of the match.
The final match of the week was at White Hart Lane, where Tottenham Hotspur hosted West Ham United. And no, the score was not 3-0 to West Ham. It was infact 3-1 to Spurs, the one goal from Franck Ribery not being enough to secure even a point against the goals of Roberto Soldado and Mousa Dembele.

@Mad: Thanks! :)
@Pauker: Thanks, I have an idea of one of the teams, only because when I was drawing out the players I was thinking "they're screwed" lol.
@TAT: You like that Muniain and Schweinsteiger are playing and they can't secure a win against Everton? :P
Very good idea and nice start!
Really nice update mate, I like it!
Awesome Idea and Villa get Xavi :D

GAMEWEEK 2

In gameweek two, there were two days of action. The first day had just one fixture - where at the time 20th placed Sunderland were hosted by Chelsea. In a surprise scoreline, Sunderland ended up beating the Blues 3-1, although the reason for that may be because of Samuel Eto'o being sent off in the second half. Marco Reus of Chelsea even got the first goal, but in the second half, it was all Sunderland. Fabio Borini levelled the scoring for Sunderland, followed by Timo Werner and Adam Johnson to seal the win.

In the second day of action, Arsenal hosted Chelsea, this time the Blues got a 3-2 win. Oscar got his 3rd goal of the campaign, as well as Fernando Torres actually scoring followed by Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil equalising for Arsenal. However, in the 88th minute, Oscar scored his 4th goal of the season to seal a win for Chelsea.
At the Cardiff City Stadium, Manchester United were hosted by Cardiff City in another close affair. Robin van Persie grabbed the first goal for United, followed by Xherdan Shaqiri doubling the lead before half time. However, in the second half, Cardiff picked up a goal through Craig Bellamy. This only turned out to be a consolation, as the Red Devils won the game 2-1.
The next game was at Craven Cottage, where Fulham hosted Crystal Palace. This time, for Palace, Lionel Messi was enough to see them win the match, as his early first half goal was the only goal of the match - making the final score 1-0.
Meanwhile, at Anfield, Liverpool played Stoke City, a game that showed that the new boys in the Premier League can make an early impact. Erik Pieters of Stoke scored the first goal midway through the first half, before Bastian Schweinsteiger of Liverpool levelled the scoring late in the first half. Then wonderkid Domenico Berardi grabbed the winning goal halfway through the second half to make the score 2-1.
At the Etihad Stadium, Southampton had to travel to Manchester to play Manchester City. David Silva opened the scoring early in the first half, and the win was sealed by Sergio Aguero late in the game (in fact, in that fatal 88th minute Arsenal lost to). The final score was 2-0.
The next game was between Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, two teams whose squads had been strengthened greatly. The first goal game in the fourth minute by Yoann Gourcuff of Newcastle, and it looked like the win was coming their way. However, in the second half, Roberto Soldado nabbed his third goal of the season to make it 1-1.
At Carrow Road, Norwich faced Everton in another close game. Robert Lewandowksi of Everton opened the scoring early in the first half, before doubling Everton's lead early in the second half. The only consolation Norwich had was an 84th minute goal from Ricky van Wolfswinkel. The final score was 2-1.
Aston Villa then had to travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City. Both teams had started their seasons off with a defeat, and they both wanted a win out of this game. Swansea's Lucas Romero opened the scoring early in the second half, and Villa were desperate for a response. And in the 85th minute, they got that response. Lucas Evangelista levelled the scoring - meaning neither of these teams have a win to their name yet.
The next game was at the Hawthorns, where West Bromwich Albion hosted Hull City. Thomas Muller opened the scoring with a 33rd minute goal, before getting his third goal of the season early in the second half. Yannick Sagbo gave Hull some hope in the 70th minute, before Thievy completed the rout for the Baggies in the last minute.
The final game was between West Ham United and Sunderland at Boleyn Ground. Marco Borriello put West Ham 1-0 up in the 7th minute, before Franck Ribery grabbed a second goal late in the first half. However, in the second half, Sunderland were quick to respond. Julian Draxler made the scoreline 2-1 for the Black Cats, before Timo Werner scored late in the game to make the final score 2-2.

@Josh: Thanks mate :)
@Pauker: Thanks mate :)
@Jason: Thanks mate :P You can thank the randomiser for Villa getting Xavi.
Great work by WBA :O and nice away win by Sunderland!

GAMEWEEK 3

In the first game of gameweek 3, Aston Villa hosted Cardiff City in another closely fought battle for both teams. In the first half, Villa stunned Cardiff by scoring three in quick succession via Xavi, Fabian Delph and Andi Weimann. In the second half, Cardiff's Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a consolation, but it did not signal any sort of a comeback. Delph was then sent off 10 minutes from time, before the game finished 3-1.
At Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace were looking to have some dignity after facing Manchester City, although Sergio Aguero scoring in the 1st minute of action made Palace fans dread what was to come. With no more action taking place in the first half, it was time for Palace to try and make a comeback. However, it went the other way round after Alvaro Negredo scored 1 minute into the second half. Yaya Toure scored a penalty late in the second half, and Fernandinho completed the rout with another penalty 7 minutes from time. The final score at Selhurst Park was 4-0.
Swansea City had to make the move to Goodison Park this week to play Everton, in hope to find their first win of the season. In the 6th minute, things began to look up for them as Roberto Pereyra got them a goal. David Ngog then got a second to double their lead. In the second half, Cristiano Ronaldo got a third goal for Swansea, making sure Everton would lose this game. However, Everton pulled one back through Robert Lewandowski, before Michu finished the Toffees off in a 4-1 scoreline.
The next game was between Hull City and Liverpool. One team hadn't won a single game yet, the other hadn't lost a single game yet. It was Hull, however, who opened the scoring through Paul Pogba in the 5th minute. It was Iago Aspas who had to save the day for Liverpool 9 minutes from time to make the score 1-1 at The Circle.
Manchester United hosted Arsenal at Old Trafford in one of the more even games on paper. However, it wasn't even at all. Antonio Candreva opened the scoring in the 9th minute for Arsenal, before Santi Cazorla got a goal to make it 2-0. Lukas Podolski put Arsenal 3-0 up after half time, before Wayne Rooney grabbed a consolation. Cazorla got his second goal of the game to finish the Red Devils off - the final score was 4-1.
West Ham United had to travel to Newcastle United in search of their first victory against a very tough opposition. The scoring was opened very early again through Radamel Falcao of Newcastle, before West Ham equalised through Aleksandar Mitrovic to make the scoreline 1-1. Falcao scored his second of the game to put Newcastle in the lead again before half time - before getting his third to seal the win - 3-1 to the home side.
The next game was between relegation zoned Southampton and current league leaders West Bromwich Albion at St Mary's. This game had West Brom win written all over it. However, Rickie Lambert put the Saints ahead early in the first half, before Jay Rodriguez got a second to make the score 2-0. There were no more goals that game, meaning West Brom had lost their spot at the top.
Stoke City hosted Norwich City at Britannia Stadoum this week, hoping to rise from 20th place. However, when Ricky van Wolfswinkel put Norwich in the lead just after the 10th minute, and Andy Wilkinson got sent off for the Potters, it wasn't looking good. Robert Snodgrass then got a second for Norwich, before van Wolfswinkel completed the rout. The final score was 3-0 to the Canaries, and Stoke still sit at the bottom.
The final game of the week was between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham, who had both had their fair share of good results. And by that, I mean they've both had one good result. Roberto Soldado put Tottenham ahead midway through the first half with... wait for it... a penalty. However, Spurs' lead only lasted 4 minutes as Kostas Mitroglou levelled the scoring to make the final score at White Hart Lane 1-1.

@Pauker: I was surprised with how West Brom were doing, and then they lost to Southampton :P I was also surprised by Sunderland's win, but I'm not complaining ;)
Nice idea and west ham got ribery but still are crap! :(
Great idea Alex and some very good updates!
Looking forward to see how the season plays out!
Really clever idea, it's a poor start to the season for Everton! Look at them! :O

GAMEWEEK 4

The first game of gameweek 4 was at Villa Park, where Aston Villa hosted Sunderland. Gabriel Agbonlahor opened the scoring in just the third minute to put Aston Villa ahead, before getting his second goal 15 minutes later to double Villa's lead. However, Sunderland came back fighting with a goal from Santiago Vergini late in the first half. In the second half, Ron Vlaar sealed the win for Villa by making the score 3-1.
The second game was between Crystal Palace and Liverpool at Selhurst Park. Through most of the game, both sides were evenly matched and the scoreline seemed to be destined for 0-0. However, in the 84th minute, Jordan Henderson won the game for Liverpool, making the final score 1-0.
The third game was at Goodison Park, where Everton were the hosts to Arsenal. Arsenal, who were in good form, took the lead through Mikel Arteta early on in the game. Then, just before half time, Robert Lewandowski of Everton equalised to make the final score 1-1.
The fourth game was between Fulham and West Ham United, two struggling teams in the league. In the first half, all was quiet, and both sides were evenly matched. It was in the second half where things got interesting. West Ham took the lead through Aleksandar Mitrovic midway through the second half, and looked destined to get their first win of the season. However, Kostas Mitroglou of Fulham wouldn't let that happen - as he scored the final goal of the game 6 minutes later to make the score 1-1.
Swansea City had to travel to The Circle this week to face a struggling Hull City side who really shouldn't be struggling. Halfway through the first half, Michu got Swansea's first goal, giving them the lead. This was followed by Roland Lamah grabbing the second goal through a penalty in that fatal 88th minute. The final score was 2-0 to the visiting Swans.
The next game was between fierce Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea - the former hosting this tight match. The scoring was opened by Marouane Fellaini late in the first half, and was finished by Juan Mata of Manchester United eleven minutes later. The final score of that fixture was 2-0.
Newcastle United played host to Manchester City this week, a fight between the top two teams in the league. Edinson Cavani of the Citizens opened the scoring 16 minutes into the game. Yoan Gouffran levelled the scoring in the 31st minute, but Manchester City were quick to respond through Alvaro Negredo 5 minutes later. Cavani got his second goal of the match to make the final score 3-1.
The next game was played between Southampton and Norwich City - two sides who played well in their last fixtures. Jonny Howson grabbed the first goal in the third minute to put Norwich ahead, before Lucas Moura of Southampton levelled the scoring 9 minutes later. Maximilian Meyer scored the winner for Norwich, making the final score 2-1.
The penultimate game was between Stoke City and Cardiff City, which, at this early stage of the season, was an all-or-nothing game. They sat 20th and 19th respectively, and the winner of the game would shoot up the table. Marko Arnautovic opened the scoring for Stoke early on, before Fabio of Cardiff responded very quickly. There was another very quick response when Steven N'Zonzi of Stoke made the score 2-1 just a minute later. Zlatan Ibrahimovic then levelled the scoring in the second half, before John Guidetti scored the winner just minutes later. The final score was 3-2 to Stoke.
The final game was between Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion. Roberto Soldado scored all of Tottenham's goals, in the 47th and 69th (ha, 69) minutes, and the score at White Hart Lane stayed at 2-0.

@Brick: I think that if West Ham just had Ribery and nobody else had any added players it would've been different, but they're West Ham. ;)
@Pompet: Thanks, it's going to be interesting to see what happens, as most of the squads have been greatly affected.
@FMP: Thanks, I'm not quite sure why Everton aren't doing very well - they have Isco, Varane and Lewandowski...
