The Journey Begins

I'm finally doing it, I am finally taking control of my team. I have always resisted taking over Boro as I always found it difficult to separate what FM thinks of players and what I think of players from seeing what they are actually like. I would always sell players like Emnes and Haroun and try and play with players like Leadbitter, who is underrated on FM and after his last few displays I now see why. As for Emnes and Haroun, Haroun has left to League 1 side Blackpool (jk) and Emnes has joined Swansea on loan lol.

Who is this Brazilian?

I am club legend Juninho, possibly the best player to ever pull on a Boro shirt, (obviously I can't judge on George Camsell and Wilf Mannion since i'm not 80 years old...). The little man had 3 stints at Middlesbrough (2 permanents, 1 loan) and was part of the 2003/04 team that lifted the League Cup after beating Bolton 2-1 in the Millennium Stadium, and Arsenal in the Semi-Finals, and yes this was during their Invisible season. Juninho left rather grudgingly after Steve McClaren sold the Brazilian to Scottish Champions Celtic. When Juninho played a friendly during the 2011/12 pre-season for Middlesbrough vs PSV he stated that it was his chance to really say good-bye and that he always thought that he would be playing for Middlesbrough in Europe. Well, now here is his chance! Although not as player but as manager, he has the chance to be a legend again.

The Tactics

I will be using a 4-2-3-1 which I believe fits the side the best. Jason Steele will be main keeper and I have some really good potential center-backs in Rhys Williams, Kenneth Omerou, Daniel Ayala and Ben Gibson but I also have Woody who brings a lot of experience and composure. I will also use Rhys out at Right Back every know and then as my second Right Back behind Varga. I have Nathanial Chalobah, Jacob Butterfield, Dean Whitehead and Grant Leadbitter to control the center-midfield with Lee Tomlin and Emanuel Ledesma to play just in front of them. Ledesma will also play on the wings whenever thunderbolts Muzzy Carayol and Albert Adomah need a rest. For my strikers I have mainly Danny Graham and Kei Kamara to play but I will use youngster Curtis Main every now and then.

Loans

Currently on loan I have Kenneth Omerou and Nathanial Chalobah from Chelsea, Lee Tomlin from Peterborough, Jozsef Varga from Debrecan, Danny Graham from Sunderland and Tomas Mejias from Real Madrid (Castilla). Out on loan are Marvin Emnes at Swansea, Richie Smallwood at Rotherham, Lukas Jutkiewicz at Bolton, Frazer Richardson at Ipswich, Andy Halliday at Blackpool, Christian Burgess at Hartlepool, Matty Dolan at Bradford and Lewis Sirrell at Gateshead.
Staff Transfers

Anselmo Sbraglia has joined as my Assistant Manager from Ituano. I needed to hire a new Assistant Manager as Jamie Clapham isn't a proper Assistant Manager. I felt that Anselmo is a fantastic capture for the club and I look forward to working with him.
Trevor Peake has joined as a coach from Leicester and he will be working with the Defence and Ignacio Sitges has also joined as coach. Ignacio was previously unemployed after a stint with Espanyol and will be working with Ball Control.
Paul Montgomery has replaced Gary Gill as Cheif Scout, I believe that Paul is more suited to the role than Gary.
Jamie Clapham (Ass Man), Gary Gill (C Scout), Andy Boles (Fit Coach), Peter Hood (Fit Coach, Adam Kerr (Fit Coach) and Phillip Hudson (Scout) have had their contracts mutually terminated and Trevor Langford (U18 Physio) has joined the youth staff at West Ham.

Player Transfers

For my transfers I brought in Curtis Obeng from Swansea for 200k as a back-up full back. He will be able to slot in when Varga can't play and I don't or can't move Rhys Williams to right back. I also brought in youngsters Ian Westlake, Martin Mace and Estaban Lopez in on frees. Ian is a 17 year-old Right Winger, Martin is a 16 year-old Goalkeeper and I have plans to nurture him as our future number 1 and Estaban Lopez is a 18 year-old Colombian Winger who can alternate between the left and right wings.
I sent Estaban Lopez to Bristol City, Connor Ripley to Crewe, Luke Williams to Peterborough, Jake Fowler to Luton, Andre Bennett to Cambridge and Jordan Jones to Fleetwood all on season long loans to give them valuable playing time.

Results

I had a tough pre-season but there are no excuses for getting beat by Hartlepool whatsoever, I personally don't take friendlies into account as from past experiences I remember getting beat by a Blue-Square Premier Darlington and ending the season 1 point off the play-offs (damn you Cardiff).
Good luck :)
AUGUST

Transfers

During August I brought in no players, but Adam Jackson went to York City, Cameron Park to Morecambe, Adam Reach to Aberdeen, Ryan Brobbel to Exeter and Bradley Fewster to Mansfield all on loans.

Results

August was a very good month for us barring the Sheffield Wednesday result. I have been particularly impressed with Emmanual Ledesma's form this month.

League Table

Woah, really good start to your season, especially winning against the likes of Wigan and Leicester!
Great one mate :) Good luck
