Davies Sacked By Forest

News is coming from the City Ground that more controversy is happening at Nottingham Forest with reports that the club have sacked their manager Billy Davies for a second time in two years. Davies, who spent nearly two years out of football management before returning to Forest for his second spell in February earlier this year, was sacked for the second time, the first being the 12th June 2011, as the controversy of the Al-Hasawi reign continues with Davies now being the 4th manager to find himself being shown the exit door since July 2012, when the Al-Hasawi family took over Forest. Davies was appointed on 7th of February as Nottingham Forest manager for the second time, and managed to help the club secure an 8th placed finish, just one point off the play-off spots.

Reasons for Davies’ sackings are unknown, with the club refusing to release any information about the situation, but rumours are going round social media site Twitter saying that Davies thought people at Forest still had it out for him from his last reign and confronted the owners of the club on his situation, and even though he has made numerous signings so far in the transfer window, demanded the owners to prove they back him by supplying him with more funds and this is what made the Al-Hasawi family see red, if you believe the rumours. His links to fierce rivals Derby County have also put a slight strain on his relationship with the Forest fans, as he took Derby into the Premier League before getting sacked after one season. He did however take Forest to two consecutive play-off finished during his first reign at the club, although they were knocked out in the semi finals in both seasons, and fans will now be hoping for a manager who can motivate the squad be able to build a team capable of winning promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
Good luck :)
