2014-03-28 11:33#166347 pompeyblue : Nice update Bayern and like Nick said hopefully you can get some good results and sneak a play off place!

P.S In reply to your comment, Portsmouth and Plymouth are not footballing rivals however the two cities can relate to each other as both have dockyards.

Ah I thought I read there was a drydock derby or something.
Nice start mate, keep it up!

Manager Wayne Robinson and staff are proud to announce this years intake of youth. These players are Robinson's first signings since joining the club back in January."I am very pleased with this group of academy players. I am hoping that they can make an impact in the future," said Robinson in the latest PAFCTV report. We wish them luck during the trials and hope to see these guys on the first team someday.

March Results

After a good start in February Wayne Robinson's Plymouth quickly went back into a tail dive. It was quite a shock to see this team collapse like that said one supporter after the 4-3 loss against Accrington. Plymouth have been very unlucky so far this year and this month of March was very heartbreaking for the team.

In the first match against Morecame the Pilgrims continued their winning streak with a nice 3-1 victory. After that they would travel to Bristol to face the Rovers. This match would end up at a 1-1 draw. After that things went south quickly. On the 11th Plymouth lost against Wycombe in a heartbreaking 0-1 loss. The losing streak continued into the next two matches with losses against Scunthorpe (0-2) and at Accrington (4-3). Plymouth fans were looking for something positive in the derby match against Exeter. The result would be disappointing with a 0-2 loss at Home Park. Finally Plymouth would get a point against Chesterfield in a 1-1 draw.

Currently in 19th Plymouth are on the verge of hitting the panic button if it has not already been used. six matches remain in the last two months. The Pilgrims will be facing clubs such as Portsmouth and Oxford. With the playoffs out of the picture Argyle supports are now praying that they do not drop to the relegation zone. Could Robinson lose his job even with a few months on the job? Time will tell.

Boardroom meeting

James Brent: Hello everyone hope you are all well. I? am sorry if I caught you off guard but there is something we need to talk about.
David Felwick: I think it is the same thing we have all been thinking. Is it the manager?
James Brent: David how did you know?
David Felwick: I had a feeling.
James Brent: Well we all know Wayne has just started and has not had a chance to make his own squad but the way he is managing is just poor.
Peter Jones: I think we hired the wrong man honestly. I have never been a fan of Wayne and I was right he is not fit for us.
Richard Holliday: Seriously we need to give Wayne a chance like James said he has not had enough time. Let's keep him.
James Brent: Well I see all of your views and such, I really don't know who would be willing to be the next manager.
Colin Sexton: Well I know someone who would be a good fit.
David Felwick: Who might that be?
Colin Sexton: A Canadian who is a rising star in the management world.
Peter Jones: Who is it? I have not heard of any Canadian in England who is a coach.
Colin Sexton: His name is Doug McKenzie a coach at Middlesbrough. From what I hear he is getting a few calls for head coaching jobs.
James Brent: Hold up we have not made a decision on Wayne. I feel we should give him a chance at least but this McKenzie lad seems like a sound leader.
David Felwick: Do you want me to contact him and set up a meeting?
James Brent: Sure, let's make sure this does not leak outside this room.
Colin Sexton: I will contact him and set up some sort of friendly meeting.
James Brent: Good, if we like him enough we will interview him. Have a good day everyone.
Interesting! It seems they favour McKenzie rather than Wayne!

Haha I wonder why? Wayne Robinson is on the verge of getting the fans to riot in the streets. Relegation seems likely.
Nice update and nice link to your Boro story :)

Doug meets with the Plymouth Board via Skype

http://www.talend.com/sites/default/files/boardroom.jpg

James Brent: Hello Doug thanks for taking some time to talk with us. We are very happy you have decided to talk with us.
Doug McKenzie: No problem sir, I am glad that you have contacted me.
James Brent: So currently our manager Wayne Robinson is struggling and we as well as the fans have lost all faith in him. I am interested in seeing if you are interested in the job
Peter Jones: Hold up I thought we were just getting to know him
David Felwick: Well Pete we have already meet with him and decided to interview him.
Peter Jones: Oh, why was I not told?
James Brent: You were away on Holliday.
Richard Holliday: Doug why would you be the best person for the job?
Doug McKenzie: Well I have been a coach for the past few years and have learned a lot, being part of the Championship I have learned to deal with some crazy situations and feel like I am ready to coach. Unlike Mr. Robinson I have the necessary training to be a head coach.
Colin Sextone: What are these qualities and who are your references?
Doug McKenzie: Well I have a degree in coaching and psychology from the University of Saskatchewan and the coaching badges. My references are Colin Hunt of FC Edmonton, Tony Mowbray and Aitor Karanka.
James Brent: Please tell me your goal, be realistic.
Doug McKenzie: This club is going to need a lot of work honestly. I think I could get the team to League 1 next season but it will take some time. I want to get this club to the Premier League and that will take time.
David Felwick: Premier League?? Isn't that too ambitious?
Doug McKenzie: Well not really as I read PAFC have never been in top flight football and the city is the largest in England not to be up there. If you are willing to help me achieve this goal I am willing to work with you.
Richard Holliday: To me this sounds almost imposable. You are dreaming.
James Brent: I really don't think so Doug has the same goal our fans want.
Richard Holliday: Every team has this same dream. Come on be realistic sir.
Doug McKenzie: Wow I feel I have wasted my time here. Mr. Brent it has been a pleasure but I see a few of the board don't want me.
James Brent: Don't go I have the final say. I would be willing to work with you. Do you have any request?
Doug McKenzie: Yes, I would like to make Plymouth a global name especially in North America. An international link with the New England Revolution would be nice due to the historical connection of Plymouth and Massachusetts.
David Felwick: That is a genius idea Doug.
Doug McKenzie: Well I have always though Argyle have the best fans in the Football League.
James Brent: Well that settles it. Men would you all agree that Doug should be the next manager. Say Yes if you think so. Majority wins.
David Felwick: Yes!
Richard Holliday: No!
Colin Sextone: Yes!
Tony Wrathall: No!
Peter Jones: Yes!
Martyn Starnes: Yes!
James Brent: Even though it doesn't matter it is a yes! Congratulations Doug.
Doug McKenzie: Thanks how is this going to work?
James Brent: At the end of the month we will release a statement on your hire and then you will join the club on June 1st. We will help with relocation and things like that.
David Felwick: Congratulations and see you soon.
Doug McKenzie: Thanks everyone, I can't wait to meet everyone in person.
James Brent: Good luck on the rest of the season and see you soon.
Good luck Doug! :P
