Levi Lopez. An eccentric, 42 year old American with Spanish heritage, who has today emerged as a man in need of a job. Levi is understood to have e-mailed a CV containing a raft of experience to clubs such as Shrewsbury, Oxford United and Saarbrucken.

While so far unsuccessful, Lopez is showing no signs of giving up on a dream which he has apparently held for a long time; to manage a football club. Rumours are abound that Lopez will consider any job, and will apply for all.

For now, there aren’t any vacancies in any country which Lopez is said to be considering, so he may well have to wait until the January managerial merry-go-round for any kind of employment.

A former Sunday League footballer, Lopez has very little managerial experience, although he has coached a few High School football teams, with varying levels of success; one team he managed was unbeaten in 3 seasons, the other was unable to win a game for 4 years.

Lopez’s CV is also said to list experience on the computer game Football Manager 2014, including taking Scotland to the World Cup Final; a claim said to be disputed as impossible by his prospective employers.

The day I obtained my first proper job in football management; I’d speculatively applied to Wrexham, and the very next day, they came back with a job offer. I’ve got myself a one-year contract, and they’re paying me £650 a week to keep the club respectable within the league. I’m aiming higher than that though, potentially for a playoff place, in order to improve the club.

In terms of the squad, i’m going to have to work with what i’ve got until January, because the transfer window just slammed shut...I might have a shop around for some solid free transfers, see what I can get out of them.

In terms of tactics, I’ve always believed in keeping my midfield strong and compact, and that means a distinct lack of wingers, leaving the defending on the flanks to the full-backs (although that might not be the best idea, given the standard of the guys here). However, we’ll give it a try for now, and see how it goes.

So far, the team have had a less than ideal start to the season. However, i’m hoping we can turn it around, and give the fans something to cheer about.

Poor Start For Lopez

Eccentric American Levi Lopez's future at Wrexham is in doubt after a less-than-shaky start at the Skrill Premier club. The board are apparently losing patience with Lopez after a string of poor performances. Club captain Danny Livesey has shown his support for his new manager, releasing a statement: "As a squad, we are 100% behind Levi; he's had a tough introduction to the lower leagues, and we've tried several tactical systems before settling on one which we're now adjusting to with better results. As a whole, the players are entirely behind the manager and the coaching team, and look forward to improving over the course of the season."

Results: First 5 Games

A less-than idea start for the American, and everyone associated with the club will be hoping he can turn it around.
Not the best of starts to the season but there is still a long way to go. Good luck.
I'm pulling for you. I think you can turn it around, and I think that win in FA Cup justifies another two weeks of employment :D
@Jamesg237 here's hoping!
@Mr. Shjanzey I think so too! :D although we're playing Wolves next....

Lopez Brings in Two New Stars

With mere hours until the loan window closes, eccentric American Levi Lopez has brought in two loan signings to turn his season around.

The first of these is 22 year old Billy Bingham, a central midfielder who was languishing in Dagenham's reserve side.

The central midfielder has already made 13 appearances for the League 2 side, but has joined Wrexham to secure more playing time.

The second loan signing is Portsmouth's 27-year old Right Back Yassin Moutaouakil, who comes with an £8.5k future transfer clause.

The frenchman, capped 5 times at youth level, has played for 5 clubs in his career, including Charlton and Motherwell, as well as a 2 year spell at Hayes and Yeading before his move to Portsmouth. Fans will be hoping his experience serves them well in games to come.
Good couple of deals mate!
Thanks bud :) hoping they can produce the goods :)

Lopez's Magical Wrexham Stun Wolves!

Today, Skrill Premier side Wrexham shocked League 1 side Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, as they ran out 3-0 winners. Fans were made to endure a goalless and excitement-free first half, as the two sides cancelled each other out, and the game looked set to be heading for a replay.
Until, that is, the 58th minute, when Leon Clowes bundled the ball into the back of the net. The travelling support could hardly believe it, and were sent further into dreamland when Andy Bishop rifled the ball into the back of the net on the 85th minute, before scoring from further than was wholly appropriate on the stroke of full-time to seal the result for the Skrill Premier team.

Club captain Danny Livesey was ecstatic after the game, stopping to give some words of wisdom to the media, saying "It's absolutely incredible. To come here and put 3 past a team sitting 2nd in League 1 shows that Levi really has given us something special this season."
