Liverpool Start Poorly

Liverpool have started this season surprisingly poorly and are in 9th place after three games. Brendan Rodgers took his side to Carrow Road to face Norwich and were beaten 2-0 after goals from Gary Hooper and Robert Snodgrass stunned the visitors. West Brom were then the visitors at Anfield and many expected Liverpool to control the game. However this was not the case as James Morrison put West Brom one up after 12 minutes of the game. Liverpool's Countinho equalised with a header fro Mangala's cross in the final minute of the game to earn a point. There was another shock as Middlesbrough dumped Liverpool out of the Capital One Cup with a 2-0 victory. Three points finally arrived for the Reds after a comfortable 4-0 win against Hull. Daniel Sturridge score twice and won the Liverpool player of the month. Luis Suarez has two games left of his suspension but will miss Liverpool's crucial games against Fulham and Arsenal.

Liverpool Up To Sixth

Liverpool began this month in 9th place but after a strong month the Reds have climbed the table. Craven Cottage was the first stop for Liverpool and they found themselves 2-0 down after 15 minutes. But Rodger's men managed to go in at half time 3-2 up thanks to a goal from Rodrigo and two goals from Sturridge. The second half belonged to Rodrigo as he scored three goals and sealed a 6-2 win for Liverpool.

Next up was Arsenal at Anfield and a game Liverpool needed to win to keep up with the top six teams. Daniel Sturridge was ruled out with injury so Joe Allan made his first start of the season. Once again Liverpool started poorly and found themselves 1-0 down after a lovely finish from Giroud. Captain Steven Gerrard equalised for Liverpool just after the break. Arsenal's Flamini was then sent off for a late tackle on Sterling and Liverpool took control of the game. In the 87th minute centre back Sakho earnd all three points for Liverpool with a thunderous header from 10 yards out.

At the Etihad Liverpool were beaten 5-3 off title favourites Manchester City. It also signalled the return of Luis Suarez to the team and he marked the occasion with a goal. Roderigo and Alberto also scored for the Reds.

played the likes of ibe and other young players for most of pre season but was still disappointing

United Lead The Way

With fierce rivals Manchester United leading the pack Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers told BBC Sport that European qualification is his only goal this season. This month was again quite poor for Liverpool and they have now dropped to 7th in the table. Liverpool drew 1-1 with both Sunderland and Stoke and ended the month with a 2-1 win over West Ham. Once again striker Rodrigo won the player of the month award and currently is the top goal scorer in the league.
