Paolo returns to Milan

In a shock managerial appointment, AC Milan have recently replaced Clarence Seedorf, who had stepped down due to family reasons just last week, by appointing Paolo Maldini - the clubs most capped player. Maldini will step into management for the first time and he is said to be excited with the future to come at club.

However, the recent appointment has left several fans puzzled due to his lack of managerial knowledge, several banners have been spotted around Milan, with big bold writing explaining their anger. Yet, Verona manager - Andrea Mandorlini, has defended Maldini saying, 'I do think the Milan fans are rushing to conclusions, personally. I think Paolo will do a solid job at Milan and the fans shouldn't judge the man at the moment, that can and will be done in and around November time, I'm sure. But at the moment the fans should let him get on with his task at hand and let him lead the club forward.'

Maldini's press conference is set to take place tomorrow and fans are looking forward to the conference, where they will soon see Maldini's comments.

Authors Notes

I look forward to this story, I think it'll be very exciting - lots of twists and turns. Sadly my Burton save was deleted by accident, however we must look forward to the future! Hope you all enjoy!
Good luck Chloe! Enjoyed your Burton story and hopefully this one will be just as good! :)
Good luck!
A shame about your Burton story but it is good to see it hasn't deterred you from starting a new one. Good luck.

Maldini promises title challenge

M = Maldini
R = Reporter

R - Hello Paolo, how do you feel to be back at the club?

M - It's great! I'm very much looking forward to taking the club to where they where we were in 2005 and 2006 for example - reaching the UCL final. It will be tough but I want to achieve this

R - Those are high ambitions! So, anyway, the fans are not very happy with your appointment, what do you have to say?

M - I'd like to say that I am giving all I have to try make this club compete in the Champions league and ultimately win it. Of course, it may not start well but, I'm sure we will achieve it in the years to come, definitely.

R - Do you have any transfer targets in mind?

M - I do yes, but of course many managers will be watching this conference, so I can not discuss at the moment, haha. However yes, I do.

R - Who do you think will compete with you at the top also, who will be relegated?

M - Personally, it's too early to say, but I do think Napoli and Juventus will be up there, of course. Down the bottom, it's difficult to say, I think it's time for Chievo to go down and maybe Verona and Sassuolo to go with them, but I'm unsure.

Thank you, Paolo for your time
Nice update! It would be awesome if you can win Serie A and the UCL!
