Who AM I?
I chose German legend
Torsten Frings as my manager. Frings started his career at Alemannia Aachen, where he spent 3 years at the club. Making 53 appearances and scoring 13 goals. Torsten then went and joined Werder Bremen for 6 seasons. Where he made 162 appearances and scored 15 goals. In 2002, Frings reportedly signed for Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €10 Million. Where he stayed for 2 seasons and played 47 games.
After Dortmund, Torsten then spent a year at Bayern Munich. He went on to win the German league and cup. Where he played 29 games and scored 3 goals. After just 1 season at Bayern Munich, Frings returned back to Werder Bremen due to being played out of position at Bayern. Where he stayed for 6 years, making 164 appearances and scoring 21 goals.
In 2011, Frings left Werder Bremen and went and signed for MLS club Toronto FC. Where he made 33 appearances and scored 3 goals. Upon the later stage of the MLS season. Torsten sustained a hip injury which required arthroscopic surgery. He recovered from the injury slowly and in February 2013, Torsten Frings officially announced his decision to retire from football.
Overall Torsten Frings made 492 club appearances and scored 65 goals playing as a versatile midfielder. Frings also made 79 caps for Germany, where he also was runner up in the 2002 World Cup. Where Germany lost to Brazil in Korea/Japan 2-0.
