Wenger Sacked!

The Gunners are one of the most successful teams in English football, having won 13 top flight titles, 10 FA Cups and two League Cups. Arsenal were managed by Arsene Wenger who had been in charge since 1996, which made him the longest-serving manager in English football.

Arsene Seemingly Waving Goodbye

The north Londoners also came close to winning the Champions League, but lost out to Barcelona in the 2005/06 final. It has been well documented that they have not won a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup, something which Wenger was desperate to change this season, with the Gunners expected to challenge for the league title.

Arsenal have shown faith in Wenger since 1996 and he has brought success to the club and been the catalyst in creating some of the best football in the the world to watch. The Gunners were languishing in mid-table when Wenger took over and he has transformed them into a title winning side that have played some of the best football in recent memory. Arsenal look to be in a solid position off the pitch with their new stadium starting to pay dividends, which should put them on a solid financial footing for years to come.

The Emirates - A modern Piece Of Art

Arsenal are not known as a sacking club and with Wenger gaining legendary status at the Emirates but his refusal to splash the cash has infuriated many Arsenal supporters and he has found himself under pressure again last season. There had been no indication of Wenger leaving now he has the club will want a Manager who will be able to keep the club stable and remain at the helm for a long time and importantly win silverware.

No-one is sure yet of who is going to Replace Wenger at the Helm but Jurgen Klopp has been made the Early Favourite after his amazing success at Borrusia Dortmund.

Odds Are As Follows:-

Good op, dont really like the layout though and the title should be changed
Nice start, I'm thinking maybe Henry for manager. Good luck with Arsenal, you'll need it ;) And make sure not to get complacent over the mighty Spurs :P

They shouldn't get complacent over Everton, that's for sure. ;)

Stojkovic Takes Helm

The Man chosen to replace Arsene Wenger is Dragan Stojković. Stojković was Manager of Grampus Eight before accepting the job at The Emirates, in what seems all too familiar Grampus Eight was also Wengers previous stomping ground. Wenger when in charge of Grampus had signed and mentored Dragan into becoming the Manager he is today.

Wengers achievements in Japan were eclipsed on November 20, 2010, when the club won their first ever J. League trophy, under the management of Wenger protégé and former Grampus player Dragan Stojković, big Things are expected of the young Serb.

Stojković St Grampus

Dragan Stojković now comes to England to Replace his former mentor as Manager of Arsenal FC, Stojković was long time captain of the Yugoslavia national football team and Red Star Belgrade, and is considered one of the best players in the history of Yugoslavian and Serbian football. He starred for Yugoslavia at the 1990 FIFA World Cup (where he was named in the World Cup All-Star Team) and 1998 FIFA World Cup where he captained the team.

He is one of the five players to be awarded the title Star of the Red Star. He is widely considered to have never shown his true potential in Europe as injury prevented him from establishing himself at Marseille over the long term. Despite this, there is general consensus among critics that he displayed extraordinary ability throughout his career in spite of his chronic injuries, being most renowned in Japan. Usually a playmaker, Stojković was especially famed for his vision, technique and passing ability epitomising the very style of football Wenger was renown for.

Stojković will have a tough first season in charge with the likes of Mourinho returning to Chelsea and Man United under the new management of David Moyes. When Questioned on this he replied in surprisingly fluent English.

I have learnt a lot about football management in my time at Grampus, I hope I can achieve the goals that myself and the board here have set out. I know many people will see me as a cheap qucik fix but I can assure all Gunners Fans that I am not just a flash in the pan but a born winner. I with great help from my backroom staff will make Arsenal FC amazing again.

When we approached Arsene Wenger for a response to weather or not he felt betrayed by Stojković all we got was a one word answer "NO"
Interesting choice of manager! Very unexpected and I don't think he is the right man for the job, Just as long as you dont get Gary Neville in your backroom staff, I'm sure you'll do well :P

Good update btw
good luck!
