However AC Milan chairman announced that they signed with Paolo Maldini for 1 year long. After that decision, many fans became really pleased and welcomed Maldini in the airport.

In the airport Maldini talked to press for some time he said: "I was really glad to hear the offer from the team that I belong to. There was no way I could reject this offer. Now my goal is to celebrate some championships with Milan as the head coach of the team."
