Has Anybody tried to manage at the very bottom off the football league and work their way up to the premiership?

At the moment i am managing Hinckley who do not have a very good team even for a blue square north team. The board want to stay safe but i decided to go for a big push up for promotion which the media think is crazy and unachievable.
The main thing that i done is get a parent club as i have two in leicester and an unknown club called barwell i changed them to Coventry. This gave me a few good signings and because of these signings by halfway through the season i was 4th.

In the end i won promtion through the playoffs in extra time and am now in a desperate battle to survive relegation in the blue square premier.Where i am currently 20th with 23 points from 22 games.

Can anybody else tell me how there doing down there?
I've been wrestling with my home town of Chester for a while (who might be going in to administration this summer, bad times) and i've managed to get them to the championship, but thats taken me 9seasons so far!

I've been blogging my progress with Newport County. We're in very good shape to get promoted to League 1 this season. 8)
I sometimes start with AFC Wimbledon, they have a good fan base which generates a lot of income when you climb up the leagues...

You have to rely on seeking out good youngsters and selling them off for profit after a year or two...

But they are in the south...
