Hi guys,

i am desperatly looking for a program that is working like the following (genie and realtime editors are a bit to uncomfortable for my needs):

u can put in the values of a player that you see (like technique, tackling etc etc), and after you are done,
the program will show u the actual positional rating for ALL positions.

i am not sure if there is a program like this, but since it should be "easy" to program, there might be one. to bad i am a totally newbie in programming, and even exel (maybe it should be programable in exel as well, since the ratings are know over genie scout for example - and then its more math then anything else).

so IF there is such a program, pls let me know!

tnx
ehm immuner scout?

yah, thats a game scout.

i dont really want a game scout, since i dont play fm2009, lol.

i want a tool where i can put in players from fm live. well, i could use fm2009 ingame scout as well, IF id own fm2009, but i dont. a friend of mine does it with a database editor and puts in the values from live and then checks pot rating etc.

but that sucks in my eyes. takes hours. and still needs fm2009.
oh so you mean a tool for FM live more or less.

well there isn't one.

but the best way would be to learn for which positions what stats are important.
that will help your judgement in getting new players in FM live.

and why don't you download fm 09 if you can't afford it?

well,

dont really want to download "illegally", just to check stats :)

i have played fm2007 very much, meaning, i know which stats are important for which kind of player (fast striker etc), BUT :

sometimes its hard to compare players just by eyes. even if you know which stats are worthy and which not. for example of both have high and similar values - how to know which guy is better in the rating.

a tool, where u just have to enter the stats (like finish 18, pass 15 etc), and it gives out positional rating, would rock most. weird that there isnt one yet. i thought about trying excel, but i dont get how the rating works. i checked genie scout 2009, and tried to find out, how the rating is calculated. for example for fast strikers. and i dont get it. for example, i tried to clean all ratings, and only set finish for 100 ... then i searched for players with finish 16, 18 and 20. those with 20 had 100% rating. ok. those with finish 16 still had 96% rating, even tho its a kind of big difference between 16 and 20.

then i tried to calculate with the normal rating, multiplying, like :

finish = 80, player has 16, so i calculate 16x80 points. i did this with all important values, got a big number ... but found no way how from that number the percentage is calculated. well, to compare it would be enough to just do it like i did,

if one player has 15000 points (all ratings multiplied with stats) and other 17700, then the later one will be better, since he must have better stats.

well,

my friend was here and we checked the players together with 2009 and FMRTE.

now something is weird there ...

general rating shows ratings for other positions then positional.

for example, in general , there is rating for FULLBACK and WINGER ...
in positional rating, there is rating for AMR/AML, DR/DL (which are FB/Winger for me).
but, those positions get the rating number (like 75%) from DEFENSIVE CENTER (meaning, if a player has 60% as CB and 55% as FB, under positional rating, he gets 60% for DL, DC and DR, but as far as i thought, he should get 55 for DL/DR, since its fullback, not centreback?!

same for winger. if a player has 75% as Attacking midfielder and 70% as Winger,
in positional rating it shows 75% for AMR/AML instead of 70% (since those positions are wingers in my eyes). why is this? something wrong with FMRTE? or am i wrong and DR/DL are no Fullbacks?

so if i want to check out, how good my DR is, i dont have to check his positional rating as DR, but his general rating as FB ?
now thats where the stats come in.

or wait, you said FMRTE. use genie?

but i still think it's more or less the same system when it comes to positional rating.

thing is, it goes by the stats.

so for an example:

if my DR has 15 in finishing and such, he might be better off as a striker, because he has stats for it.

so a DR for an example should have certain stats like: anticipation, tackling pace and so on.

first the important stats count, then the less important. some players have stats that are better for other positions as well.
