Scout Vs genie scout

Hi, im not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, i have tried searching but couldnt find anything.

I am aston villa in the jan transfer window of 2010 (left ipswich). I want to get a new centre back, currently have cuellar, dawson, curtis davies, and gary cahill. Now for starters my scout who has about 17/18 in judging potential and ability has said that cahill is my best defender, altough genie scout says that he has the worst rating out of the four.
Also i scouted the likes of jagielka and lescott and again my scout said not as good as cahill, 5th best if he was to join. but genie scout has said there rating is better than cuellar (who genie claims to be my best rated). My question is, what one should i believe? the scout in my game or geniescout programme.


Also does anyone know any better CB for astonvilla that are better than the ones i stated.

Thiago Silva is fantastic, he's so consistent and always put in great performances.

As for which one to believe it's hard to say, I don't know how the rating system on Genie Scout works but whenever i've used it in the past it was always pretty good. Having said that your scout tells you how good your players are based on their attributes and form. You might have a player with great stats but if he's playing poorly your scout may lower his rating. I'd probably strust my scouts over genie but over that i'd trust myself. I only really use my scouts to tell me how much a player will cost, what his personaltiy is and any negative attributes, i'll look at the players attributes and if he's got the attributes i wan't i'll scout him and some alternatives and then take a look at each of their respective forms to decide who i want to buy.

im not a big scout utility fan. as i like to do my own judgement and go by own knowledge, and also keep the game as realistic as possible.

but when i have for an example 2 good players that i can't separate. i will have my best of 2 scouts do reports on them in matches etc.

and usually i also look at how they have done over the past season or two considering how far i have come into the game.

and i also look on which one has the right attributes for my team and my tactics.
