SEASON REVIEW 2018/19

Competitions round-up

Key Player Stats

Detailed Squad Stats

Bristol City best 11 season 2018/2019

Bristol City best 11 - all time

Fans player of the year award

Winner - Mario Buitrago

The Bristol City captain had a fantastic season. He started 50 games and scored 31 goals, also contributing 17 assists and 4 PoM awards. He finished 2nd in the Premier League top scorer charts and for the 2nd year in a row was 3rd place in the European Golden Shoe race.

Managers player of the year award

Winner - Esteban Gabriel Jesus Bogado

The Bristol City right winger started 45 games this season, scoring 13 goals, being the teams top assister with 22, and the teams top PoM awards (8). His average rating of 7.64 for the season was by far the best of the entire team. He was named the 2018/2019 European Champions League best player and the 2018/2019 English Players' Player of the year. He also won an incredible 7 player of the month awards throughout the season.

Wolfgang Niebuhr 33.5 million from Gladbach

Wolfgang is a 19 year old central midfielder who has potential and will serve as a backup to Marko Blazic, Joaquin Guillamon and Lucas Evangelista this season following the departure of Emre Can. His potential is high but he is unlikely to ever surpass Blazic and Guillamon in the starting 11.

Igor Goncalves 27.5 million from FCP B

Igor is a 17 year old midfielder right/centre who has potential but will play with the U21s/U18s this season. A large sum for a player who could become one of the best midfielders in the World!

Juan 775k from Mainz

A 15 year old striker who has potential but will play with U21s/U18s squad for next few years.

Miroslav Mijovic 575k from Partizan

17 year old striker who has slightly more potential than Juan but is two years older. Will also play with youth teams this season.

Robert Damen Free from Ajax

20 year old left winger signed on a Bosman. Will be sent out on loan as soon as possible.

Silvinho Free transfer

21 year old defensive midfielder who left Man Utd this summer. Will be sent out on loan as soon as possible.

Emre Can 43.5 million to Barcelona

The Turkish midfielder was seen as surplus to requirements by Andrew Booy so departs after 3 seasons at Ashton Gate. He was a regular for two seasons before losing his starting spot to both Marko Blazic and Joaquin Guillamon. He made over 100 appearances for the Robins and will be missed by the squad.

Jonathan Tah 31 million to FC Bayern

The imposing central defender has joined Champions League winners Bayern Munich, returning to his native Germany after 2 years in England. He was a squad player and started only 35 times in two years. Following the development of youngster Sergio Ribeiro it was easy to let him go.

Vivinho 23.5 million to FCP

The 23 year old striker leaves Ashton Gate after only one season at the club. He never made an appearance under Andrew Booy but impressed away on loan at PSG last season hence the high price tag.

Austin Ansell 19.5 million to Arsenal

The 21 year old England international has been at Bristol City since the 2014/2014 season but has only made 3 substitute appearances for the club. Has been out on loan at Watford, Derby and last season at Man City but will never get in the City squad so Booy decided to cash in.
