Ronald Koeman hasn't ever settled at a club for over three years.

Ronald Koeman resigns.
Former Ajax, PSV and Barça player Ronald Koeman has left Feyenoord after two succesfull seasons in charge. The media suggest he wanted to win trophies and he didn’t feel he was able to do it at Feyenoord. The unexpected resign leaves the Feyenoord job available with immediate effect. Fred Rutten and Bert van Marwijk are the leading candidates for the job. Ronald Koeman finished his first season in second, and then they finished third on goal difference in the second season. It shall be interesting to see who is taking over at the “de club van zuid”. Ronald Koeman is known for his beautiful goal in the UEFA Champions League final for Barcelona in 1992.
Nice choice for new story mate. :D

Feyenoord icon and current assistent manager van Bronckhorst wants the Feyenoord job

van Bronckhorst wants Feyenoord job
Feyenoord fan favourite Giovanni van Bronckhorst has thrown his hat into the ring to become Feyenoord boss. The International, who has 106 caps for holland, has reportedly said to be a great candidate after being assistant-manager for two seasons. he has told FOX Sports that after being the assistant for two seasons, he knows the club very well. the inexperienced dutch man, who made himself very well known all over the world by scoring a magnificent goal in the semi-final of the World Cup 2010 vs Uruguay, has said that he could lead this team to some great success.

First board reaction
the Feyenoord board will consider the interest from Giovanni van Bronckhorst even though they would rather have a more experienced manager like Bert van Marwijk, according to the official Feyenoord website.

New Feyenoord manager van Bronckhorst

Giovanni van Bronckhorst hired as Feyenoord manager.
Feyenoord icon and supporter "Gio" has earned himself a one year contract as a Feyenoord manager.
the media are not sure about his wage, but they reckon he will be paid somewhere around 5 to 10 thousand pounds a week.

The Board
Martin van Geel has told VI(popular dutch football website) that he is extremely pleased to have signed the 39 year old who was born in Rotterdam. even though Giovanni is very young and inexperienced, he is a hero for Feyenoord and the whole of the Netherlands. when you have 106 caps and have won the UEFA Champions League, your players are going to look up to you.

His own reaction
Giovanni van Bronckhorst also answered some questions himself:
Journalist:Do you feel that your ambitions for the club are matched by the chairman?
Giovanni: I do, yes. we have some great ideas for the future of the club that we have worked on together.
Journalist:Do you feel that your expectations are fair and realistic?
Giovanni: If we are to progress into a bigger club, we have to set our expectations high. i think we can win the title this season.
Journalist:When new managers come staff members often fear for their job. will there be any changes?
Giovanni: I'm impressed with the structure at the club so i will not be making any changes in the staff
Journalist: Despite having some quality players, Feyenoord haven't won a lot of trophies the last few years.
Giovanni: Winning trophies is one of the most important things for the club. i'm looking to win some trophies as soon as possible
Journalist: As a big fan of the club, you must be very excited to be in charge of your favourite team. is this a dream come true?
Giovanni: I can't stop smiling, this is a wonderful feeling.
Good luck!

thanks Jonte-23. going to be hard to beat ajax, but i am going to give it a try and hopefully we can win the league for the first time this century(last time they won the title was 1999).

The French winger joins Feyenoord until the end of the season.

Feyenoord transfer update
Feyenoord has sold one player, and loaned one player to compensate for the open spot in the starting line-up. first of all they sold Wesley Verhoek over to PAOK in Greece for two million pounds, the winger hasn't ever shown his real quality at Feyenoord and he will move on to try and save his career in Greece. on the other hand, Feyenoord brought in French winger Frédéric Bulot on loan till the end of the season. the 22 year old was loaned from Standard de Liège and Feyenoord will pay half of his wages. Feyenoord don't have to pay any monthly fees for him.
some more good news for the club, because star defender De Vrij has put pen to paper on a three year deal worth 2 million pounds.

great pre-season for Feyenoord

Giovanni's view
I think this was a fantastic pre-season, winning every single game is great, but we also created alot more chances and could of scored alot more goals. Also we had a chance to rotate the team, and I now have a clear view of the way I want to select my squad. here it is:

I feel like we can rotate that squad around and stay on equal quality. here are the subs:

the stars are in potential, if you have any confusion because of that.

now, we want to move on from a great pre-season and do the same in the Eredivisie, Europa League and in the KNVB Cup. we have great confidence and hopefully we can turn that into alot of victories.

Jordy Clasie is a young and talented midfielder who plays at Feyenoord

Feyenoord reject Clasie bid
Feyenoord have reportedly rejected a 7 million pound bid for midfielder Jordy Clasie made by Olympique Marseille. even though Clasie is one of the better players at club, most football pundits are surprised by the fact that Feyenoord rejected the offer because of their financial situation. Bayern Munich are apparently interested in the Dutch international.
Vilhena is a must start, he is young, and will become a world superstar in a few years time. Tie him down to a long contract with an Optional Extension of 3 years, and a release clause of a high amount. You must only sell him if you must. Play him lots, and he will develop quickly, trust me!

Sorry to sound controlling! :))
I know, tallery. I'm a Feyenoord fan IRL and watch every match. Vilhena plays amazing IRL and I am going to rotate him and maybe give him more starts than Immers. just tried to tie him up, he isn't interested because he still has a three year deal.

UEFA Europa League playoffs drawn
Feyenoord will be playing Romanian club Pandurii in the play-off for the UEFA Europa League. Many think that Feyenoord is extremely lucky with the draw, but Van Bronckhorst has said that Feyenoord still have to play their best football to get to the group stages of the Europa League. Feyenoord have been drawn as home team so the first game will be played in de Kuip on thursday 22nd August 2014

Monthly report: August

Giovanni's view
I think that overall, we played very well in the first month of official football. We were a bit inconsistent, the bizarre 7-5 victory over PEC Zwolle being the perfect example of that. We were 4-0 up after 20 minutes, and the score was 4-3 25 minutes later. Then we scored to make it 5-3, but 10 minutes later it was 5-5. In the end two late goals saved us to make it 7-5. I'm very happy that we have qualified for the group stages of the UEFA Europa League comfortably, winning 5-3 on aggregate. at the end of the month the draw for the KNVB Cup was made, and we're playing amateur club Lienden in an away game which was very favourable.

Feyenoord player of the month
our 28 year old Italian striker Graziano Pellè who scored nine goals in all competitions in August. I knew he was going to be one of our star players but two hattricks in a month and three more goals. without the Italian we would probably not be close to mounting a serious title challenge. But, even though Pellè was the best of the month, he relies on crosses from my wingers, Schaken, Boëtius and loanee Bulot. they also played like absolute stars
