So having come to the end of my first decent fm2014 save (Reading) I remembered that Inter aren't in europe and decided to see what state they're in. The last time I had any real success in serie A was with Fiorentina in FM12 so this should be a challenge.
Firstly, the massive debt looks like it could become a problem if we don't get back into the CL next year. No pressure! in the meantime, i've got 5 million pounds to play with but decide to take things easy with free transfers and shift the funds to the wages kitty.
Squad wise - what a midfield! Lots of talent at first glance. No left-footed left back though so i make that my priority. I stumble across out of contract Christian who i remember played for Racing in Spain back in FM13 (i was at Malaga for many years and this guy always played well against us). Different game sure, but what the heck! He's hard as nails.
After a varied pre-season, I realise there's a lack of pace going forward and Hernanes is in form crisis. Guarin is class as a defensive winger on the right but my 2nd and final signing for now is Maxi Morales from Atalanta on loan for the left flank. let's see how the first few games of the season proper go...
