Using Real Madird:
Casillas
Carvajal-Ramos-Varane-Marcelo
(FB) (BPD) (BPD) (FB)
Alonso-Illara
(REG) (REG)
Modric
(DPL/AP)
Bale- -Ronaldo
(IF) (IF)
Benzema
(P)
This formation is pretty close to RM's formation in real life but with some minor changes to help give the team more balance. By playing a second regista next to Alonso you allow more defensive cover, while helping to keep possession flowing(i suggest playing Khedira as an anchorman away from home as teams are more likely to attack. For team tactics I play a high tempo, very fluid game with a high line. Also making the team retain possession, pass shorter, work the ball in the box, and hassle opponents will allow you to keep possession more efficiently and help to see out games. To help raise possession stats you can set the team's style of play to control (overload helps if you fall behind, but it will expose your defense a bit more). Allowing wingers to switch wings also makes your forwards harder to mark and will make your team less predictable. I find Isco to be and excellent sub to make if the game isn't going you way as he can play as a CM, AM or a winger (also as a striker if you are willing to be patient in training him). Javi Martinez would be an excellent signing if you can sign him because he can play as both a regista and an anchorman allow for greater efficiency.
*** Any opinions, questions, criticisms, words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
