Hi I was just curious whether or not it would be possible to make a change to the Key file system that is currently used (I'm assuming as a reason to stop illegitimate copies of the paid version of FM Genie Scout 14) to a less restrictive one in terms of having to obtain a new key EVERY time you upgrade your hard drive or perform a fresh Windows install.
I'm aware Stam is not Eugene but I assume he has some form of contact with him and could possibly provide and answer to this question/suggestion. I'm a huge fan of Eugene's work and would gladly continue to donate to any further projects for the FM series (I am aware that he hasn't yet confirmed he's even going to make an FM Genie Scout 15 ..... has he????)
I wonder if a system such as a password system would not be better in that, even if you were to reformat your machine, you wouldn't have to contact Eugene every time you wanted to use the program on said new machine. (As in the suggested system the password would still be eligible and it would be the one you receive when first donating) Let's face it it must be MUCH MORE of a PITA for him to respond AND provide the new Key files than it is for me/us to request them from him.
Anyway that's just my 2 cents , comments/suggestions are appreciated.
