Early on in the half both sides missed two chances until Nick Crittenden put a ball through to Stewart Yetton who blasted the ball into the back of the net in the 20th minute. Dan Green then came off due to an injury and was replaced by Ian Ashton and then both sides had one more chance before the end of the first half.
Truro managed to keep Bath City quite during the second half, forcing them into long shots with only Kurtney Holloway’s attempt from thirty yards out forcing a save from Ollie Chenoweth. In the first minute of injury time Truro picked up a second goal when Jared Sims played a ball through to Ladjie Soukouna who placed the ball into the bottom left corner.
Truro will now face Sutton United who defeated knocked out Eastleigh, with the match to be played at Gander Green Lane. The two teams have met four times this season with Truro winning twice and two draws. The last time they met, Truro came away victorious 3-0 with two goals to Nick Crittenden and one to Stewart Yetton. Truro will be without Arran Pugh who still has two games left to serve from his suspension.

Good luck in the final mate! But it isn't actually a final, is just the final of south, and the winner will play against the winner from the north final. I didn't knew that when I played first time and I was so glad that I am in the final, but then I got defeated in the real final...

Heading into the play-off final, Truro were missing not just centre-back Arran Pugh who was unavailable due to suspension but also his partner Steve Payne who picked up a virus mid-week. This saw midfielder Ladjie Soukouna move to centre-back with Cody Cooke taking his place in the midfield.
Jamie Lowry lined up for a free kick in the 11th minute and struck the post with the first real chance of the game. Then in the 15th minute, Jared Sims played a ball through to Lowry who hit the top left corner to put Truro in the lead.
JJ Hooper found himself one on one with Ollie Chenoweth in the 16th minute but put the ball wide with a terrible miss. Hooper then put the ball in the back of the net in the 29th minute only for it to be disallowed as he was ruled to be offside.
Bobby Devyne found himself one on one with Chenoweth in the 42nd minute after Hooper headed the ball on from a goal kick, Devyne placed his shot to the left and levelled the score at 1-1 heading into half time.
The second half was all Sutton United, they dominated possession but failed to convert. The closest chance came from Jack Gant who hit the post in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Stewart Yetton had Truro’s only chance of the half but failed to get it on target, sending the game into extra time.
Truro came out like a completely different team in extra time. Lowry attempted an audacious free kick from 40 yards out in the 104th minute hitting the cross bar, the ball fell back to Stewart Yetton who put the ball in to give Truro the lead. After the break Truro continued to dominate until Damian Scannell went up for a header in the last minute of extra time only to hit the post to see Truro earn the victory and promotion to Skrill Premier.

After being expected to be relegated by the media we found ourselves promoted to the Skrill Premier at the end of the season in an amazing effort from the entire squad.
We began the season at the bottom of the table for the first two months until we began to find our feet and established ourselves as a mid-table club. We then managed to push higher and higher as the months went past until two weeks away from the end of the season we found ourselves in the play-off positions, an opportunity we refused to let go.
In the play-offs, our side high on morale due to being in great form, took control of its own destiny and gained promotion despite injuries and suspensions. We now find ourselves in a tough situation but are ready to fight to stay up and hopefully make an impact in the Skrill Premier.

This was the true lowlight of our season, the board expected us to reach the 3rd Qualifying Round and after drawing non-league AFC Totton we had no reason not to meet these expectations. After a bore draw at home, we went to Testwood Stadium and put together our worst performance of the season losing 4-1.

Our FA Trophy campaign got off to a good start defeating Basingstoke. We then drew with Sutton United in a thrilling match then going on to defeat them in the replay after a brace from Stewart Yetton.
We then drew non-league Margate and lost 3-1 in a very disappointing performance but we did manage to pass the boards expectations of reaching the first round.

Stewart Yetton
Spending money on a transfer in the Skrill South was very risky but in the end it paid off, contributing a total of 28 goals during the season. Yetton found form after a few games and in the fixture against Maidenhead United he truly signalled his return with a hat-trick. Despite this, he suffered a mid-season slump with fans calling for him to be replaced by Liam Head until he found his feet late in the season and single-handedly put us into the play-offs with 5 goals in the final month.

Jared Sims
Jared Sims was the unsung hero of our campaign and we could not have achieved promotion without him. Despite only being 21, Sims was the architect of our attacking efforts providing 17 assists throughout the season. If he continues to develop he should see himself at Treyew Road for a long time.

This award was never going to go to another player. Returning to the club after a spell at Weymouth and taking over the captaincy, the club icon led the club to promotion providing 28 goals and 15 assists throughout the season.
