Herbet Named As Chelsea FC Manager

Today Ricki signed a 2 year contract with Chelsea FC, Old manager Jose Mourinho resigned with much dis-concern surround a row with him an Roman Abramovich.
Concerns have been raised whether Ricki Herbet is of good enough quality to be manager of Chelsea FC, some fans say the choice might have been a rather stressed one as the BPL kicks off soon, Ricki Herbets CV does however consist of getting New Zealand to the 2010 World Cup and at that World Cup not losing a single game (no other team did that at that world cup)
Although with the decision been made we can look for a hopefully long a succesful campaign with Ricki Herbet Manager of Chelsea FC, The Guardian Newspaper has showed of recent that the Chelsea Board believe Ricki Herbet can guide Chelsea to the Eurpoean Champions League Title or The BPL if not questions will be raised
good luck!
Good luck! :)
AAN & captainbrickarms - Thank you both it will be interesting !!! :)
Chelsea Announce 2013/14 Squad and Fixture List

Games against Schalke & Juventus will be interesting. my aim for pre-season is to be unbeaten

Only real concern in the squad is a lower broken leg to Tomas Kalas who could be a squad rotation option
try developing a few of the young talents the youth squads great:)
Pre-season Results 2013/14

SonderjyskE A 1-4 Luiz 1 goal

Stuttgart H 2-0 Luiz 1 goal, Ba 1 goal

Schalke H 1-1 Eto 1 goal

SC Bastia H 0-0 P

Alcocorn H 2-0 Cahil 1 goal, Ba 1 goal

Zargosa A 3-2 Terry 1 goal, Schurrle 1 goal, Ramires 1 goal

Juventus H 3-0 Schurrle 1 goal, Ramires 1 goal, Brown 1 goal

I believe that caps off a great pre-season, with wins over Juventus and Stuttgart i certainly believe we have what it takes to be up there at the end of this season.

BPL First Game:

Fulham vs Chelsea : A 2-1 Win

Fulham: Hugo Rodellga 75min goal
Chelsea: David Luiz 3min goal, Samuel Eto 15min goal, David Luiz Red Card

The rest of the August Month

Cardiff A BPL

Crystal Palace H BPL

Bayern Munich N Euro Super Cup

I don't have the best of lead ups to a big game (against bayern munich) but it gives me the opportunity to rest some players in order to play my best against Bayern Munich, Bayern do however have Muller, Gotze and Ribery all out with injury so i will have a better chance.

The Guardian Newspaper Susgests a 2-1 Win to Chelsea
2013/14 Chelsea Transfer Roundup

Timo Werner 21mil - Personally i think this was a great buy, he is a great young talent and i will be looking to get rid of Ba, Torres and Eto in the future.

Ruben Blanco 4.3mil - He was already being bought when i joined the club but he is a great young talent and will be going out on loan for a season or two.

Declan John 8.5mil - Declan was recommended to me by the Scouting Pool, i had a look and scouted him further he is a nice player with great potiental who can play at D,M,AM L , which is great cause he will be able to fill in for ashley cole if needed/

Sullay Kaikai 7.5mil - Sullay is a Central Striker i signed him along with Timo Werner as i would like them to be our strike partnership in a few seasons.

I sold no one but 6 players are going out on loan to get valuable first team experience.
End of August Month

1-0 A Cardiff BPL Ba 1 goal

3-1 H Crystal Palace BPL Cole 1 goal, Willian 1 goal, Ivanovic 1 goal.

2-1 N Bayern Munich Euro Super Cup Azpilcueta 1 goal, Luiz 1 goal

We have had a great start to the season, only real problems are injury's to Czech and Torres but also a 2 match suspension to David Luiz who got a red card in the first game.

3 games in to the league with 3 wins we are coming 2nd on the table, although there are 4 teams with 9 points (Arsenal,Chelsea, West Brom and Liverpool. I managed to get player of the month for my efforts which i was quite privileged by.
September Month

With the first month of football over we move into September, we set the standards high but that's always good. This will be a tough Month with games against the likes of Athletic and Man City.

Hull H BPL

Athletic H European Champions Cup

Manchester City H BPL

Sheff Utd H Capital One Cup

West Ham A BPL

For this month my aim is to come through with wins against all of the weaker teams but also get one win out of City and Athletico.
Chelsea should plough through most games easily. Surprisingly with the budget you have, you didn't splurge. Good that you are keeping faith in the current bunch. I guess some youngsters will get some game time given the amount of games you will be playing. In anycase, you have a good reserve squad trying to break through thou most are on loan and some potentially very interesting U18s if developed well. All the best.
September Update

Overall we've had a few highs and lows we picked up draws with Athletico and City might i say we were lucky to, Ba is gone for free and Werner isn't exactly impressing, Eto has had a few POM performances but nothing that amazing. One talking points is the Capital One Cup loss, might i say i was never focusing on it and ptu out a young youth side who were down by 10 men which didn't help. A few injury's have hampered the progress but nothing major.

I honestly did not expect to be winning the bpl but our team is going great, i need to sought out another first team striker and CM as Lampard is ageing and attributes dropping.
great work so far!
could try making club legends lampard and terry help out with backroom activies and also this story is looking good so far
