I have recently just purchased the new Ipswich home shirt for the next two seasons and i was not impressed at the cost of £56! £41 for the shirt £5 for delivery and £10 for a name and number. If you have recently bought a shirt are you appauled as to how much it cost?
nah havent bought a kit since i was a kid. the prices are shocking indeed.
If/when we get an MLS team in Portland, I'll need the advice of you guys on where to get some gear! I want to look like a legit football fan and not a wannabe soccer fan. :wink

sorry mate we dont know anything about that sport.

but we can help you with football that's for sure :) =P

seriously though you dont really need your club's stuff to be be a "real supporter" to say in a way.

i have a couple of united things of course, many from being a kid. and also some nice other clothing like a decent t-shirt and so.

but going to the matches and supporting the team is the main cause for being a supporter.
haha soccer isn't a sport!
now football, thats a sport.

i don't know anything about sport shops in the US, but the if you live in portland then the club shop will be the cheapest place to purchase your shirt!

I figure if I'm going to get any football gear for the Portland Timbers, I want to get some stuff for any foreign players on the team that play real football - not the watered down soccer that's played here in the states.

In my time spent playing FM2009 and on these forums, I've started to get a lot more in touch with Euro football and I'm loving it. Unfortunately, access is limited here. I get to watch highlights on ESPN and I can catch some of the Seattle Sounders games on local TV, but that's about it. I did take a lot of interest in the Barcelona / Man U game, however, and felt pretty good knowing a little bit about the players and coaches on both sides. =D
Yeh got an East Fife shirt last year.. they were 3rd division Scotland. £40! £40 for peat sake.

wow. i mean i dont mind that football match shirts cost a bit, but that is alot, especially for a 3rd division team.
We did get promoted... maybe I'm good luck?
nah the 40 quid helped the players get some powerade so they could get some energy and ended up doing better. =P
