The last time I tried a story, my luck allowed my computer to crash and I lost the game. So, I shall start again. I will keep it to be as similar as to the one I started with.

My name is Tom Donaldson, and I am an aspiring football manager, looking to put my mark on the game that I love.

I was born in the town of Rugby, but as a youth I played football in Coventry. For a while I played for the best team in Coventry, Coventry City. It was here that my career ended, with a knee injury involving a goalpost and a reserve player from Newcastle.

While I was getting constant surgery on my knee, my dad told me that he had become the chairman of Coventry's second team, Coventry Copsewood, who played in the 8th tier of football at that time.

Now my knee is better, but I have no chance of a playing career. Coventry Copsewood, at the moment need rebuilding, they have fallen to the 10th tier, and they might get relegated into the Midlands Combination Division 1. My dad is still chairman because nobody wants to buy it.

Nobody wants the position of manager at that club either, apart from me.

Chairman - Levi Donaldson

My ground looks like this:

My backroom staff look like this:

My players look like this:

This is going to be lots of fun...
Good Luck! Hope your computer doesn't crash.
this is what i love. I now have upmost respect for you.

FM fucked you over and your saying Fuck you FM and your gonna redo it. I was excited the first time now I know this is going to be amazing I think good luck

Father and son

I know that I can take this club to glory, but I need my dad to actually touch his wallet for once. He owned a relatively large business before my injury, so I know how rich he is. If I can get the youth facilities to the standard that I need, there's no reason that Coventry Copsewood can't be professional in 6 years time.

Dad, listen, if you want me to rebuild the club, then I'm going to need more money that what I have right now.

This has to be the first time I've ever heard to ask for money from me, son. But I've got to treat you like every other manager I've had here, you'll need to tell me what you will do with it.

I'll bring youth facilities to the club, I'll bring in good staff and players, and I'll improve the ground.

What's wrong with the ground? It's the second best in Coventry.

That's because there is only one big club! The only seat that isn't broken has the number 69 for goodness sake!

You're not really convincing me, boy.

So I put down an envelope on the table.

What's this?

A season ticket to Sheffield United. If I don't have any more money, I'll tear it up now.

Wait! WAIT! I'll give you the money!!! Just give me the ticket!!!

Easy.
cfcmarkt: PC World assured me that this computer would be good. Next time I'm going to Argos!

jasonvilla4ever: Thanks. It's nice to get respect from anyone who makes stories as well as your Man U story!

Coventry Copsewood announce new sponsorship

http://www.bcie.co.uk/userfiles/universities/logos/cov%20logo.jpg
Coventry Copsewood, under new management in the form of Tom Donaldson, has announced that their new kit sponsor. Coventry University have agreed to a deal worth £4500, which will see their name on the Copsewood kit, and some players from this university will be brought into the Coventry Copsewood club during the annual youth intake.
Read the previous story and this one and it's a shame that FM screwed you, but with your new pc and the new story i'm convinced you'll make this club the best in Coventry! I'll be following closely! :)

Pre-Season finishes

Pre-season was better than I expected. I don't normally take control of friendlies, I am not interested in them. However, the results indicate that my tactic is working.

I carried out 17 free transfers to make a team. Ever since I got my father a season ticket to Sheffield United, he has basically been throwing money at the club. We have 3 scouts, an player/assistant manager, and I am going to bring some coaches into my team. I'll do a full team report in another update.

Gedling Miners Welfare 3-2 Coventry Copsewood
It was only some regens that scored for us.

Coventry Copsewood 1-0 Dudley
Regens again

Coventry Copsewood 3-0 Thrapston
Adam Cornell 21,41,74

Holwell Sports 1-2 Coventry Copsewood
Adam Cornell 50
Regen 75

Clanfield 2-5 Coventry Copsewood
Ravi Sangha 2,4
Courtney Shaw 10
John Corrigan 60,66
Nice results mate, hope you can go on to gain promotion.

Goalkeepers

Andy Reynolds - - Signed from Kirkley & Pakefield, he has staff attributes at the age of 26!

Dave Ludlow - - This regen is crap.

Right Backs

Lyndon Topliss - - Another regen that I signed, he shouldn't really be playing in the Midlands Combination. He can also play centre back.

Paul Armstrong - - Also our assistant manager, we signed him from New Mills. He was one of the people who formed FC United of Manchester!

Centre Backs

Chris Rimmer - - Signed from Winsford, there is nothing really special about this player.

Lorenzo Wiebers - - He has been capped by Suriname 6 times, and he's only 18!

David Attenborough - - Yes, we literally have a player called David Attenborough. He is solid backup, but I only really signed him for his name.

Left Backs

Alexis Rivera - - A natural centre back, he is the only person in our team who can play reasonably well in a left back position.

Centre Mids

Dean Pennant - - I don't know why he joined for us, he was getting first team football in the eighth tier.

Chad Sheppard - - Played for my home town in 2010.

Jermaine Wilson - - He is from the Dominican Republic, but hasn't been capped. There's a reason why.

Left Wingers

Courtney Shaw - - No other talent on the wing, he's the best we have.

Right Wingers

Jermaine Hollis - - He's alright, but not that special.

Danny Franics - - This one's getting sacked in the morning.

Strikers

John Corrigan - - Played for Tranmere, but he didn't really make it.

Ravi Sangha - - 2 caps for India, 3 goals.

Adam Cornell - - Top scorer in pre-season I believe, he played well. He is only backup, however.
cfcmarkt - Don't worry, you'll see 9 promotions in this story!
you seem to have a solid squad mate!
A great start to the story, keep it up! :)
