Head Coach Taylor signs two year extension
http://i60.tinypic.com/30jgrgp.jpgSouthampton's owner Katharina Liebherr has announced that both her and current Southampton coach Jason Taylor have completed discussions over a new contract and Taylor has signed a two year contract extension which will keep him at St Mary's Stadium until June 2016.
The Brisbane born Australian coach joined the club in July 2013 after the departure of previous manager Mauricio Pochettino resigned due to personal issues. Jason Taylor, 25, spoke of how he wishes to continue Southampton's project of growing as a club using young players with a strong passing football philosophy.
Owner Liebherr has spoke how she is very pleased the Australian Head Coach will be remaining at the club for another two years. She said how she is pleased with how Jason Taylor has taken on their previous style of play and philosophies of playing young players and carrying it on.
Jason Taylor said he is pleased to extend his stay and how he want to become the most successful Australian managers and that performing at Southampton will help him improve as a coach. Despite this, he says that he is concentrating on Southampton and not his own personal affairs.
