West Ham liquidated

A few days after new evidence on the Tevez transfer saga of 2007 coming to light, FIFA have issued punishments on West Ham and Internazionale.

New evidence has come to light on this saga. It now seems that Internazionale had agreed to let Carlos Tevez to go to West Ham with the intention of getting Sheffield United relegated, as Alan Curbishley (West Ham manager in 2007) was in the middle of a row between Bryan Robson (Sheffield United manager in 2007). On the final day of that season, Carlos Tevez scored the winning goal to relegate Sheffield United.

With this being an international issue (Internazionale were involved), FIFA have decided to take action rather than the FA. In Italy, Internazionale have been fined €5,000,000 and have been relegated into Serie B.

FIFA have also decided to take massive sanctions on West Ham United. Because of the massive monetary sanctions put in place, West Ham had no choice but to be liquidated. The FA decided to put Sheffield United in their place in the Premier League, even though they were against this proposal. In League One, Chesterfield were put in. Luton were promoted to League 2, Eastleigh to the Skrill Premier and Corby to the Skrill South.

This seems like a punishment on Sheffield United as well as Internazionale and West Ham. There seems like no chance of Sheffield United staying up this season. It lies with the new manager Tom Donladson, to see if he can take control of the club during these massive hardships.

Bet 365 - Shaun Kinnie
"I think that these odds correctly reflect each teams chances of winning the title this year.

United, City and Chelsea are all strong teams and I think that these odds of 7/4 are good odds.

On the other end, the Tevez saga has ruined Sheffield United. They have no chance of avoiding the drop, and they'll have done good if they come 18th.

Shaun Kinnie is wrong. I will defy the odds this season.
good luck! it will be very hard to avoid relegation...

Pre-Season

Sheffield United 2-0 Sheffield United U21
Nobody saw this match. Ryan Flynn and Chris Porter scored to win this for my team.

Walsall 2-2 Sheffield United
We wont do well in the Premier League if we play like this. An own goal and Callum McFadzean saved us from humiliation.

Sheffield United 1-0 Wigan
Hey, they got relegated from our league last year, so I know we can mount a challenge against teams like Hull and Cardiff now. Joe Ironside scored for us, and I don't think he will get game time this season.

Queen of the South 0-1 Sheffield United
This was awful. I don't believe that we only managed 1-0 against a team in the Scottish Championship. Jose Baxter, our best player at that time, scored late in the game.

Sheffield United 0-2 Doncaster
I left the match early. This was pure and utter crap.

Sheffield Unted 2-3 Hibernian
I can take this, they could probably compete in the Premiership. I think that we played alright. Flynn and Billy Baynter scored in this match.

Bury Town 1-4 Sheffield United
This non-league team we played well against. Don't forget I was playing my tactic for the premier league (where we will lose most games). Most of our signings scored, Danny Batth, Jack Grealish and Heskey scored today. Joe Ironside I will use in rotation, he had a good pre-season, scoring again for us.

Our first game is against Liverpool. Bring on the season!!!

AAN - I know it is a really big challenge, but I'll be able to do it. Thanks for the comment!

Sheffield United put 4 past Liverpool

In an amazing match in the Premier League, Sheffield United put 4 goals past Liverpool, with the goals coming from Jose Baxter, Jack Grealish and Steven McGinn. It is a shame that Liverpool scored 6.

Liverpool were 2-0 up after 20 minutes, which caused Sheffield United to play counter attacking football. Soon, Sheffield United equalised with lovely plays involving Grealish and McGinn.

George Long didn't have a good game today, and he gifted 2 goals to Liverpool before Kevin Friend blew for half time.

Sheffield United were never winning in this match, and another poor display by George Long put Liverpool ahead 6-2. Then, Heskey set up Jose Baxter to narrow Liverpool's lead.

Steven McGinn completed his brace in the 87th minute, but it was too late for Sheffield United to claw back.

The Blades shock Fulham

Fulham were punished for playing a rotated side against Sheffield United, who put two past Stekelenberg to send the Blades to the top half of the table.

Yury Zhevnov from Belarus made his debut today, keeping a clean sheet against a good performance by Darren Bent.

On 23 minutes, Jose Baxter put Sheffield United ahead, capitalising on a lovely pass by Jack Grealish. Later, Danny Batth had an awful shot at goal from a corner, but Steven McGinn made a lovely diving header to surprise Stekelenberg and send Sheffield United 2-0 ahead at Bramall Lane.

Fulham were shocked today, but will seek revenge in their cup fixture with Sheffield United in two days time.

FULL TIME - SHEFFIELD UNITED 2-0 FULHAM

MAN OF THE MATCH - JACK GREALISH - SHEFFIELD UNITED
AAN - This match was extremely annoying. It wasn't Liverpool though, George Long put in a piss poor performance.

Fulham defeated again

Sheffield United fans were singing 'You're just a bus stop in Chelsea' long into the night as they defeat Fulham 1-0 in extra time.

The match was close until Jack Grealish scored a contender for goal of the season, with a nice lob over Stekelenberg to put the Blades 1 up.

Then, Donaldson parked the bus for the next 10 minutes of extra time to send the Blades to the 3rd round.

Sheffield United out of Capital One Cup

Sheffield have lost in the second round in the Capital One Cup third round, losing 4-2 to Derby County after a Heskey brace in the first half.

Tom Donaldson, the losing manager had this to say after the game:
"This was a horrific result and I don't blame fans for being angry. I will be making changes. That's all I want to say for now. I will speak to my players in private.
I think I just witnessed the most appalling game of football that I have ever. Heskey had put us up 2-0, and we were on top of the match until 80 minutes. Then, our 'star player' Harry Maguire tripped over, allowing Derby to score. Then, Danny Batth did the same. Soon after, our defence were all over the place, and Derby were in front. Then, Zhevnov decided to spill an easy catch into an attacker to let Mason Bennett get a 5 minute hattrick. I need to talk.

HM - Harry Maguire
DB - Danny Batth
YZ - Yury Zhevnov
Italics - Yury's English translation, he hasn't learned English yet.
TD - Me

TD - You guys were playing alright until the 80th minute. What the hell happened?
HM - We lost concentration, boss.
TD - Falling on the floor and missing easy catches doesn't sound like a loss of concentration, it sounds like a load of crap.
YZ - Agree. I agree
DB - We were still useful for most of the match.
TD - You were not useful. You were as useful as the other side of the clock on Countdown. Any team that relies on Heskey isn't going to be successful.
DB - Then how did we keep a clean sheet in the first half?
TD - Because they kept running into Andy.
YZ - Porheps he hahs eh point. Perhaps he has a point. I vill bi better. I will be better.
HM - I'll try to improve as well.
DB - I'm not sure what I did...
TD - Good! Get back to training.
YZ - You goot, boss. You are a good boss.

September Update

Liverpool 6-4 Sheffield United
Just look at the news report on this match. Amazing.

Sheffield United 2-0 Fulham
Yes! I didn't expect this win, but we got it.

Fulham 0-1 Sheffield United a.e.t (Capital One Cup)
We win again! Fulham are just a bus stop.

Hull City 1-1 Sheffield United
Chris Basham scored his first goal for us, an equaliser to give us a good point.

Sheffield United 3-3 Southampton
This was my favourite match this whole month. Sure, we didn't win, but we scored 3 in added time, courtesy of Heskey, Murphy and Baxter.

Norwich 3-0 Sheffield United
It's starting to go downhill though. We lost to Norwich in a poor all-round performance.

Derby County 4-2 Sheffield United (Capital One Cup)
Two goals by Heskey, ruined by an awful defence. This defeat was deserved.

Forgot to take a picture of the table! We're 15th, above Arsenal and Tottenham!

I hope to find form in my next matches, that involve Cardiff, West Brom and Manchester United.
