Nice new layout, and good results. Not much you can do about the loss to Brisbane Roar though, good luck next month.
good luck in the Asian Champions League mate, unlucky on losing the final last season to

DOING IT DOWN UNDER!

November Review

This was a great bounce back from an average start. We conceded just one goal and cemented our spot at second.

Wellington Phoenix 1-4 Newcastle Jets

Muslimovic 16’
Muslimovic 22’
Jesic 51’
Bertos 84’
Goodwin 90+1'

Zlatan Muslimovic (NUJ)

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE’S ZLATAN! Well, the second best Zlatan. Zlatan Muslimovic was plagued by injury and international call ups for the start of the season but he had a debut to remember with a brace over in Wellington. A good way to get my season back on track.

Newcastle United 2-0 Perth Glory

Muslimovic 37'
Muslimovic 90+2’

Zlatan Muslimovic (NUJ)

Not a bad start Zlatan. 2 games, 4 goals, 2 POTM. But seriously though, he is phenomenal! Heskey is on the bench now!

Wanderers FC 0-0 Newcastle United

Michael Beauchamp (WSW)

Defensively, this was a good outing. But I fear this may have ramifications come the end of the season. As FM puts it, a ‘bore draw’.

Newcastle United 0-0 Melbourne Victory

Adrian Leijer (MVC)

Another goalless draw, but this time it was the heroics in goal by Nathan Coe that saved it.
Rushed forward to deflect a long shot, dived low to save a header. I’m hoping to actually score next week!

Newcastle United 2-0 Sydney FC

Muslimovic 46’
Kantarovski 50’

Ben Kantarovski (NUJ)

We returned to our winning ways with 2 quick goals after half time. Captain Ben Kantarovski returned after Australia U21 duty and duly won man of the match.

League Table

The Mariners are sweeping everyone in their path, although we have them next so I’m hoping we can knock them off their perch. The Roar are chasing but those 2 are my only concern, we seem to be in a league of our own.

Looking good in second place! Keep it going.
Wow, really glad I started reading this, really unlucky in the first season, hopefully you don't stay in the same 2nd place for the current season :)
Going strong In the league mate! Keep it up

DOING IT DOWN UNDER!

December Review

Another average month. 2 good wins, but disappointing results in between.

Newcastle Jets 1 -0 Central Coast

Jesic 64’

Aleksandar Jovanovic (CCM)

We have our revenge! The soaring Mariners came to Hunter Stadium and we showed them who was boss with a steely 1-0 victory. Now we just need to keep beating them to have any chance of winning the premiership.

Adelaide United 2-0 Newcastle United

Cassio 5'
Vidosic 86’

Dario Vidosic (ADL)

Really disappointed with this one. Not only were we played off the park, Emile Heskey was injured and is now out for 3-4 months. Sooooooo frustrating!

Newcastle United 2 -2 Melbourne Heart

Mitchell 9’
Macallister 46'
Ritter 67’
Thompson 74’

Steven Gray (MHT)

Another very frustrating match showed we can’t hold onto leads very well. We had a goal
controversially chalked off, but I’d rather not live in the past.

Newcastle United 3-0 Wellington Phoenix

Brown 48’
Brilliante 65’
Muslimovic 76’

James Brown (NUJ)

A good end to the year with another big win over the lowly Phoenix. Brilliante’s goal was a real scorcher whilst James Brown returned to last seasons form.

League Table

The win over the Mariners meant we had a good chance to catch them, but threw it away. We need to start winning a lot more to have any chance of finishing top.

Next time will be the start of 2014, as we play 3rd placed Brisbane Roar on New Years Day. Join me then!
Frustrating results but I'm sure you can find one last push for 1st place in there!

January Review

A good month away from home but with one huge scar. But you can read about that below.

Brisbane Roar 4-0 Newcastle United

Visconte 28’
Broich 43’
Jeffers 78'
Griffiths 88’

Rocky Visconte (BRR)

This was hands down the most disappointing match so far for me in charge. We were annihilated by a well drilled, star studded Brisbane Roar team and some changes are now needed.

Perth Glory 1-2 Newcastle United

Jesic 5’
Ward 24’
Coyne 86’
Brilliante 90+1’

James Brown (NUJ)

We bounced back with a win across the country in Perth thanks to a late goal by sub Chris Coyne. Brilliante scared me as we went to 10 men with just a minute to go. Luckily we survived, although Brilliante got a 2 week wages fine and a 4 match ban for his second red card.

Newcastle United 1-1 Wanderers FC

Kresinger 50’
Muslimovic 55’

Jerome Polenz (WSW)

This was our chance to play well back at home for once and we blew it, picking up just 1 point against midtable Western Sydney.

Sydney FC 1-3 Newcastle United

Brown 34’
Carbone 76’
Sarota 82’
Carbone 90'

Tiago (NUJ)

A good win to keep us on track. My bright faced 16 year old regen Jamie Carbone had an amazing brace and became the youngest ever A-League goalscorer.

Melbourne Victory 1-1 Newcastle United

Muslimovic 30’
Padovani 89'

Alessandro Padovani (MVC)

A bit disappointed in this one, although they were in incredible form and to be honest, we were lucky to even score. Now Victory, Roar and the Mariners all look formidable.

League Table

Central Coast always seem to be just out of reach. In the last 9 games, we need to collect as many points as possible.

Transfer Dealings

I said goodbye to my dear winger-striker Vinicius, as £150K was too good to turn down. I will miss your freakish goals, bud.

February begins with a top of the table clash against the Mariners! Tune in for full coverage ;)
Just read through this now, and I have to say it's very good! :-).
Good month mate! Keep it up!

February Review

A another fairly good month- but fairly good wasn’t good enough. The title race is all but over now unfortunately :( .

Champions League Draw

In Group E, we were drawn with Chinese superstars Guangzhou , Japanese team Okayama FC and Thai outfit Bangkok Glass .

Central Coast 1-1 Newcastle United

Brown 70’
Sterjovski 73’

Dino Djulbic (NUJ)

I was pretty happy with the result, but I keep going on about the ‘ifs’. IF we didn’t concede straightaway, IF we scored again. No more ifs.

Newcastle United 1-2 Adelaide United

Muslimovic 9’
van Dijk 22’
van Dijk 62'

Sergio van Dijk (ADL)

I don’t even want to talk about this one. Next please.

Melbourne Heart 0-1 Newcastle United

Wheelhouse 81’

Steven Gray (MHT)

That’s better. A solid win away from home. Wheelhouse made a good impact off the bench.

Newcastle United 1-1 Brisbane Roar

Murdocca 73’
Kantarovski 84’

Ben Kantarovski (NUJ)

If we had won against either the Mariners or the Roar, we might be in a good position. The draws were hard fought, but wins were needed.

Newcastle United 5-0 Bangkok Glass

Jesic 10’
Kantarovski 61’
Muslimovic 65’
Muslimovic 75’
Muslimovic 86'

Zlatan Muslimovic (NUJ)

This was the one highlight of the month for me. What a thumping victory over the Thai side! We kept piling on the pressure and in the last 25 minutes, Zlatan happened. Good morale boost and a handy 25k in the bank.

League Table

RIP title chase :(.

Next will be the end of season review!
Third is still finals, which is good, hopefully you can push on and overtake Roar though!
Zlatan happened! Haha!
Just had a proper read through and love this mate. Keep it up!
