- When i buy 16 year old players and let them play 3 years in my youth & normal squad, not every player will get the ''own youth'' sign. (i do loan them out, maybe that is the problem)

- Do i have to put the 16 y/o players (which i bought) in the youth academy to get the ''own youth'' sign or can i play with them in the main squad for 3 years?

English is not my main language, sorry.

thanks
Players become club grown after spending 3 years as a part of your club during the ages of 15-21.

They can be in the youth squad or in your first team squad, it does not matter - they just have to be with your club, not on loan elsewhere.

Hope this answer was helpful. :)

I didn't want to open a new topic and since my question is about youth academy i am asking you here.

So, my question is what am i supposed to do in order to have some of the best incoming youth. I mean is it a matter of best scouters, or director of football, or just luck?? What i want to do is to have at least one every 2 years that has the potential to be a star.

Thank you.

There are a few areas which you will need to take in to consideration.

1) Head of Youth Development - This guy runs the show for you in the youth academy. The more talented he is, the better the players you will get in.

2) Club Reputation & Facilities - The higher the reputation, the more players will want to join your club. It is like picking Barcelona over Barnsley, easy choice. The better your facilities, the more likely a youth player will want to join. They want to train in the best conditions possible.

3) Junior Coaching & Youth Recruitment Network - The better your junior coaching, the better the players you get which are from the area directly around your club. The better your youth recruitment network, the better the players you get which are from outside the area directly around your club. Example: Junior coaching for Liverpool FC would affect players from the city of Liverpool. Youth recruitment network would affect players from the surrounding area such as Manchester, etc.

4) Local competition: If there are other big clubs located near you, the competition to sign young players increases.

5) Area population: The more people that live in the area near your club, the better the chances of finding more top young players.

I hope this helps :)
