On July 4th at 11 o'clock Ibrahim Afellay signed a four and a half year. Barcelona have received £4.5 million from Zenit and will gain a 10% sell on fee . Afellay ahs endured a rather injury prone tenure at Barcelona and is hoping for a fresh start under Jesus Beckerman
Afellay is a product of the Eindhoven's youth academy and is a young, versatile midfielder with a good long shot. He has appeared in 214 games for PSV and scored 40 goals. While not having the same impact at Barcelona the fans believe that they didn’t get a high enough transfer fee for him.
He is going to wear the No. 10 shirt and initial reports say that he is going to make his Zenit debut against Spartak in the opening game of the season . He is expected to be the one of up to 12 potential first team signings as Beckerman looks to avoid last years disappointment of just missing out on the league title.

Zenit have completed the signing of Juan after a loan spell at Novara last year , the player has signed from parent club Inter Mlan
The 21-year-old defender is a academy product of Internacional in Brazil and is rated as one of his country's brightest prospects.
Zenit are currently in the process of a rebuilding period and see Jesus as one of their stars of the future and will link up with former Brazilian Hulk who is the record signing for the St—Petersburg outfit .
Jesus, however, is also targeting a place in the senior Brazil squad, after starring in their Under-20 team.
"I want to make history with Zenit and hope to have the opportunity to wear my national team jersey," Jesus told Sport 1.

Zenit have completed the signing of Eder Balanta from Argentine stalwarts River Plate , the promising youngster from Colombia was sort after by a raft of clubs including Juventus , Arsenal and Atleti , however the offer of first team football drew him to the Russian side.
Beckerman” Eder is a very well rounded player , he has a very calm head with lost of potential to be a world superstar. He will be most probably competing with Juan Jesus to partner Garay in the centre of defence.”

Zenit have signed Chelsea forward Victor Moses for a reported £14M , while Ashley Cole has also agreed a two year deal worth £87000 a week. Meanwhile Montero joins from Mexican side Morelia for a buy out clause of £1.3 million after impressing Beckerman in the 2014 World Cup and qualifying campaign.

The 22-year-old former Crystal Palace and Wigan player links up with central defenders Juan Jesus and Eder Balanta , who have joinedZenit for a combined fee of about £17.5m at Zenit .

Ashley Cole recently retired from international football and believes that Zenit is a good final move in his career. “ Zenit are always a force to be reckoned with especially when playing at their ground , the club has a very good set up and is attracting a new breed of players , I am very happy to be part of a long term project that I hope to play a big part in”

A survey, undertaken by Sport1, has found that 60 per cent of the Zenit club’s fans want to see the Khune in goal rather than then Argentinean Andujar.

Following the departures of Manolev to OM on loan , Zenit secured Khune from Kaiser Chiefs for a reported £1 Million while Andujar joins on a free transfer from Italian giants Napoli.
He was part of Bafana Bafana's 2008 African Nations Cup squad but was not fielded until he made his international debut against Zimbabwe on 11 March 2008. He had since become the preferred choice in goal by then coach Joel Santana.Khune was the first-choice goalkeeper in South Africa's squad at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. He saved a penalty against Spanish star David Villa in the group stages.Khune was selected for the 2010 FIFA World Cup as Carlos Alberto Parreira's first-choice goalkeeper and made some good saves in the opening match against Mexico. However on 16 June 2010 he was sent off against Uruguay when he appeared to have tripped a theatrical Luis Suárez inside the penalty area in the 77th minute. He became the second goalkeeper to be sent off in the history of the FIFA World Cup, joining Gianluca Pagliuca who saw red in 1994.
The club is waiting on official confirmation from FIFA before revealing their last signing of the summer , the player is believed to have a European pedigree and will boost the attacking options that Beckerman has at his proposal
