LUIS GARCIA STEPS DOWN AT GETAFE

Following a mediocre 10th place finish last season, Luis Garcia has called it quits at Getafe. Speaking outside the training ground this morning, Garcia told local reporters that the club needed a new manager with a different vision to his own. He feels that the he has took the club as far as he could and now it is better for him and the club that this change is made now.
His first season at the club was relatively successful considering the 16th place finish the season before. However two mid table finishes in a row and the decline in attendances have suggested that maybe now is the right time to bring in somebody new.
Fans were shocked at Garcia's decision whilst some of them were angered at the fact he has left the club without a manager ready to step in and fill his shoes almost immediately.
