BREAKING NEWS COMING OUT OF ARSENAL TODAY

There is massive news coming out of Arsenal Football Club this afternoon.
Arsene Wenger Arsenal’s longest serving manager has retired.
Arsenal are now looking for a new manager.
This will come as one of the biggest shocks of the summer.
Arsenal will start looking for a new manager straight away.
Chairman Sir John Keswick said ‘everyone at the club is very sad at the decision of Arsene to retire. We would at this time like to thank him for everything he has ever done for this club; he has been one of the best managers in the world for a long time and driven this club to huge success over the years’
Arsene will be remembered for his Invincibles side of 03/04 when they went the full 38 games of the season without losing a game.
Arsene has won 3 Premier League trophies, 4 F.A Cups & 4 Community shields whilst manager at Arsenal.
The last 8 years were without a trophy which upset fans and maybe the reason behind Wengers Retirement
It is believed that Arsenal have got 3 candidates in line for the job including unknown manager Tom Melton.
Tom is a young English manager who has supported Arsenal since he was 3 years old. There are a lot of people around the club that believe Tom is not the right man for the job as he has no previous managerial experience.
The other candidates see Klopp the 3/1 favourite and Guardiola the 10/1 second favourite.
Melton on the other hand is 75/1 at the minute but his odds will drop if rumours continue to circulate around the Emirates Stadium.
Just so everyone knows this is my first ever story so hopefully I don't disappoint!

MELTON HOT FAVOURITE FOR ARSENAL MANAGERIAL SEAT

It is coming out today that young Tom Melton is the hot favourite to become the next Arsenal Manager.
Arsene Wenger retired from his post of Arsenal manager 2 days ago and Arsenal have been searching for their new man ever since.
It is believed that Arsenal want their new man in the job ASAP and before everyone comes back for pre-season training. This will help the new manager get to know everything around the club and training facilities before the players return.
Melton is an unknown to everyone in the footballing world with him never really hearing of him before. He has never had a managerial job and not been involved with any club in any shape or form. This would be a massive shock to all Arsenal fans and would make a lot of them very mad.
Arsenal are now believed to want to push on and win more trophies and challenge again for the Premier League. A lot of fans will believe with an unknown in charge this is a backwards and not forwards step, if Melton is to get the job then he will have a lot to do before the season starts to convince people he is the right man for the job.

good luck!

Arsenal’s New Man Faces The Media

Arsenal’s new boss Tom Melton faces the media today after replacing Arsene Wenger after his retirement. We are live from the Emirates Stadium to see what he has to say.

Tom, Tom, Martin Samuel from the Daily Mail.
Can you tell me what you’re thinking at the minute after getting one of the biggest jobs in the Premier League and replacing the most successful Arsenal manager of all time?

I am obviously very excited. I can’t believe I have been given such an amazing opportunity to manage in my eyes the biggest and best team in the world. Replacing Arsene was never going to be easy for Arsenal, no matter who they got in. If Klopp, Guardiola or any of the top managers in the world right now were to be sat here Arsenal fans would still be upset. They have lost their manager of 17 years so it is always going to be a hard time for fans.

Tom, David Ornstein BBC Sport.
Do you feel hurt by the criticism some fans are giving you and that they haven’t even given you a chance to prove yourself?

To be honest no! I don’t take it personally. I am here to do a job and I won’t let anything stop me from doing that. What I’ll tell the fans is to give me some time. Don’t judge me straight away because I’ll do the best for the fans and the club. I am here to be a success and to win trophies.

Tom, Henry Winter, Daily Telegraph.
Do you feel that you can win trophies straight away with the team you have now, or do you see changes in the playing squad?

The players that are here now are fantastic but everyone is different. Some managers like players other managers don’t, so I can see a few changes in the upcoming month before the season starts. I will look at everyone and see where I believe we need to improve and go from there but we already have a top quality squad of players.
On winning trophies, of course we can, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe we could win trophies and that’s the aim of any manager and I am no different.

David Conn, Guardian.
So can Arsenal fans expect you to be active in the transfer window?

I will be looking at bringing new players in, but only in areas I believe us to need extra players. I won’t be spending money for the sake of spending money. The squad that is here already has top quality international footballers so we won’t be needing too many new faces.

Hello Tom, John Cross, the Mirror.
One final question, have you got a message to all the Arsenal fans which will get them excited for the new season?

I am here to win trophies. I am here to win games. Give me a chance and I will not disappoint you. Arsenal football club will be champions again!!

MELTON SAYS ARSENAL WILL BE CHAMPIONS AGAIN

Tom Melton came out yesterday in his first press conference as Arsenal with all guns blazing after saying that Arsenal would be Champions of the Premier League again.
Melton never put a time frame on when they would become champions but told Arsenal fans that they would be champions again with him in charge.
John Cross asked Melton if he had one final message to all the Arsenal fans to which Melton replied.
‘I am here to win trophies. I am here to win games. Give me a chance and I will not disappoint you. Arsenal Football Club will be champions again!!’
Melton has been given a lot of criticism since being unveiled as the new Arsenal manager replacing Arsene Wenger who retired.
He said ‘I don’t take it personally. I am here to do a job and I won’t let anything stop me from doing that. What I’ll tell the fans is to give me some time.’

When speaking to fans after the press conference about his statement there seems to be a divide. Some fans believe he can do a good job and others believe he made the statement to get fans off his back.
‘ I think with time and with the right backing he can do a great job, he wants to win trophies, he has supported Arsenal for a long time, I just think we need to give him a chance and see if he can deliver on what he is saying’ Said one fan.
Another fan said ‘he has said this to get fans to like him, I am a realist and if people believe he is the man to take us to glory they should think again. He is too young and he won’t attract the top players we need to challenge.’
Overall the opinion is divided and we all are all excited to see what the future brings for Melton and Arsenal.
