UNKNOWN LOCAL APPOINTED AS THE NEW CRYSTAL PALACE MANAGER

The unity of Palace

With eleven games of the Premier League season left, Crystal Palace are left in a mess. Out of the eleven, the Eagles have only managed to win five, draw three and lose nineteen matches. The man who managed to bring them up from the Championship is now gone, after a 2-0 to Aston Villa at Selhurst Park. As well as that Holloway never managed to get Palace past the Capital Cup second round, after losing to Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 and embarrassingly losing to Grimbsy 1-0 in the FA Cup third round.

But now a new man has arrived in the world of football hoping to be ''the saviour'' of the Crystal Palace. His name is Sameer Khan, he was born in Croydon the the town of CPFC and has been working with Palace for around four years to study and attain the levels needed to be a manager. The appointment has shocked many people behind the scenes in Palace but it's known that Khan has received the backing from the Palace chairman Steve Parish.

Palace are eight points away from getting out of the bottom three and Khan's first test with Palace will be against 15th placed Sunderland.
Good luck with your first story! I'll be following this one due to all the drama surrounding Palace IRL at this time!

A PUSH FOR SURVIVAL

The playmaker Jason Puncheon bursts away from Seb Larsson

CRYSTAL PALACE | 1 - 0 | SUNDERLAND
Marouane Chamakh (34)

The saviour of Palace's reign began with the collection of three much needed points. While Sunderland had the most chances as well as possesion throughout the match, they failed to captalise on nine shots as only 5 landed on target, where as Palace managed to get seven shots but six on target. One moment led to the only goal of the match in Selhurst Park. Palace scored after a great free kick from Jason Puncheon founds it way to the jumping Marouane Chamakh by the far post, the rocket of a header flew pust Oscar Ustari and gave Chamakh his first goal for Palace!

But the match was far from over as there was still 56 minutes on the clock left, Palace had to add to their one goal and make it two or three but Sunderland were once more the dominant team as they continued to press, perhaps the extra push from Adam Johnson was missing, after he was injured and replaced in the 31st minuted. But in the end not many chances were finished and made the Sunderland fans in the end hoping for something. The last chance of the match was the best Sunderland had the whole game, there shot rattled of the crossbar much to the delight of the Palace fans who hadn't witnessed a win for nearly a month.

The man of the match award was rewarded to Palace's skipper Mile Jedinak, the award reflected the sheer determination inside Jedinak, the Aussie is certainly a key player in Palace's climb out of the bottom three.

During the post match interview the media held the same view as they did at the start, that Palace would be going down. But Khan passionatly replied back by saying he has the belief in his team and they will be staying up in the Premier League

FALLING DOWN DEEP

EVERTON | 6 - 0 | CRYSTAL PALACE
Pienaar (7, 23, 90)
Barkley (55)
Lukaku (55)
Distin (80)

It was murder in Goodison Park, as Crystal Palace's survival chances took a big stab. It was known that Everton were the big favourites for the match but nobody expected a 6-0 win. One man stole the show taking three goals and a match ball home with him.

Steven Pienaar got the goals going early in the seventh minute, after he made a quick run in to the box and received a pass from Romelu Lukaku, then Steven Pienaar just took the ball and hit it past the reach of Julian Speroni. The next goal was by the same man, this time it was from a corner. Leighton Baines sent a corner in for Steven Pienaar to control with his chest and smash it in to the net. Palace had two chances in one minute to get themselves back in the game, Tim Howard denied a shot by Jason Puncheon as well as a header from Scott Dann after a corner. Then Everton's Ross Barkley got his name to the score sheet and then as soon as Palace kicked off, Everton quickly regained the ball and got their main goalscorer Romelu Lukaku on the score sheet, thus making it 4-0.

After a number of chances from Everton they finally scored five goals as Sylvian Distin got a shot from after retrieving the ball from the scrap after the corner. Then to complete the six and his hattrick, Steven Pienaar easily found his shot in the net to complete the game. The Palace players were bombarded with 21 shots in the whole match, they were lucky it wasn't eight or nine goals for Everton.

There was no surprise that the man of the match was given to the hattrick hero, Steven Pienaar. One half of the six goals was brought by Pienaar himself, it was a good day of work for Everton and Pienaar.
