Bundesliga Update

Dortmund 7:3 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt (46.Korb) - Dahoud (72. Younes), Kramer - Herrmann, Raffael (56. Hrgota), Kurt - Kruse

Dortmund vs. Gladbach is always a game to watch. The both teams already had some epic matches like Gladbachs 12:0 win in 1978! This time Borussia Dortmund dominated this match and it was a miracle that they only scored 7 times. Mkhitaryan and Lewandowski both scored a hattrick and in now 6 Bundesliga matches 5 players where able to score 3 times against Gladbach!
The Dortmund fans celebrated hours after the final whistle had gone and they had a reason for that.
Gladbachs goalscorer Kurt said after the match that he never had been beaten that bad! I surely never ever want a match like this in my career! I will think about that a long time and my goal hadn't made me happy at all, as I hadn't had a reason to celebrate!
Herrmann also said that this game isn't helpful at all, as our next opponent is even a little bit bettter!

Gladbach 0:4 Bayern Munich

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl (56.Korb), Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka, Kramer (50.Nordveit) - Herrmann, Raffael, Kurt - Kruse

What a bad run 19 goals had been conceded in the last 360 minutes, that means not even 20 minutes per goal conceded. With statistics like that Gladbach will go straight into the 2.Bundesliga! And again in this game Gladbach had nothing to win, as they only managed to shoot on the goal one time and that was in the 92th minute.
The fans are slowly turning against Solskjaer!

Werder Bremen 0:3 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt (72.Korb) - Xhaka (69.Dahoud), Kramer - Raffael (87.Hrgota) - Kurt, Kruse, Herrmann

A win and clean sheet for Gladbach. If someone would've bet on that, he would be a happy and rich guy! Gladbach finally showed, what they're capable of and dominatet a game. The last time this was seen was months ago.
Also Gladbach made a little tactical change and Kurt and Herrmann were a little bit moved up from wingers to striker. This tactical change perfectly fit this day.
Kruse, Kurt and Herrmann switched positions loads of the time and the opposition defenders never had the chance to get used to their movement.

Gladbach 0:2 Leverkusen

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka (79.Dahoud), Kramer - Raffael (46.Arango) - Kurt, Kruse, Herrmann (24.Nordveit)

Stranzl had a bad day. He picked up a yellow card after 8(!) seconds. Solskjaer had Nordveit send to warm up in the 20th minute to bring him in for Stranzl, but Stranzl made things worse for Gladbach in the 22th minute, as he picked up his second yellow card and from then on Gladbach played with 10 players and the game was set. Gladbach were dominant in the first 20 minutes, but then had no chance against 11 Leverkusen players.

Eintracht Braunschweig 1:1 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke (56.Korb), Nordveit, Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka, Kramer - Raffael (70.Arango) - Kurt, Kruse, Herrmann (87.Hrgota)

A really boring game for both fans. Braunschweig scored a lucky goal and Gladbach were dominant, but didn't were a real danger for the Braunschweig goalkeeper. Branimir Hrgota was subbed in in the 87th minute and only needed incredible 17 seconds to score the draw!

Bundesliga

Solskjaers resume

We really are underperforming. We have the potential to be a Champions League contender, but we are struggeling to get any success this Season, if nothing will change. Maybe we need some personal changes in the next transfer window and we need to keep in touch with the top10 places until then!
A few players are really dissapointing me this Season and I'm not sure if they can bring the performances we need to be succesful, espacially Granit Xhaka is struggeling to be a competitive Bundesliga player. Young Mo Dahoud is about to get the starting place from Xhaka, if he didn't step up in his performances.

Hazard to Gladbach?

Borussia Mönchengladbach is looking to buy belgian star from Chelsea London. The young belgian attacking midfielder and Jose Mourinho won't be the best friends anymore.

Gladbach won't be looking to sign Eden Hazard, of course he is a number too big for them! His young brother Thorgan is looking to get away from the Stanford Bridge, as Jose Mourinho hasn't have a plan what to do with him.
"I'm in my learning age, I need playing time. Sadly Jose doesn't look like he is giving me any of it. I heard about the interest from Borussia Mönchengladbach and it's an honor that a club with that history and that reputation is interested in me, dispite the fact that I barely play.

Gladbach 2:0 Augsburg

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt (59. Jantschke) - Xhaka, Kramer (62.Nordveit) - Herrmann, Raffael (81.Hrgota) - Kruse

Gladbachs second win against Augsburg. After the epic Bundesliga match (4:3) on the second gameday, Gladbach again were able to got the win over FC Augsburg. The game opened the same way it finished in their Bundesliga-clash. 4 shoots in the first 2 and a half minutes showed, that both teams wouldn't park the bus in this match.
And it only took 10 minutes until Raffael scored the first goal of the match. Arango played a killer ball right trough the Augsburg defensive lines and found Raffael who only had to place the ball inside of the net.
According to that Augsburg pushed their defensive line a little bit deeper and waited for counter attacks to stabalize their defensive.
Raffaels goal took out the whole speed of the game. Gladbach where really dominant and offered Augsburg just a few, not even a handful, counter attacks which all ended approximatly 30-35 meters ahead of the Gladbach goal.

The second half started the same way, the first one ended. Gladbach were dominant and Augsburg waitet for the big counter attacks.
Gladbach doubled their lead a few minutes after the second half had started. Alvaro Dominguez scored a bullet header from around 10 meters and made a beautiful goal.
The game was done by this, as Augsburg hadn't had anything to offer for their fans and still waited for their counters, but Gladbach didn't gave them any oppotunity and advanced to the next round!
Nice update, good result as well!
@joethequin thanks buddy, but I can't keep up with your success ;)

Bundesliga Update

Gladbach 2:1 Hoffenheim

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt (62.Daems) - Xhaka, Kramer - Herrmann (69.Hrgota), Raffael, Kurt (79.Arango) - Kruse

Gladbach played really well and deserved the win, after loads of dissapointing performances this season the fans finally had a game to enjoy. Kruse really made it hard for the Hoffenheim defenders and was unstoppable and played many amazing passes.
One of these passes found Alvaro Dominguez and the spanish defender only needed to pass the ball behind the line.
Kevin Volland, which rumordly catched the attention of Solskjaer, gave Hoffenheim one goal back right after the half time, but Max Kruse made a real difference tonight and scored the winning goal 20 minutes before the end.

Nürnberg 1:2 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez, Daems (70.Wendt) - Xhaka, Kramer (64.Nordveit) - Herrmann, Raffael, Kurt (27.Hrgota)- Kruse

Wasted time today for any spectator! 3 shoots and 3 goals, that's the story of the game.
Again it was the class of Max Kruse, which made the different! He again scored 1 goal and assisted one. He seem to feel good in the squad and knows his new teammates better and better and is aiming for a spot at Joachim Löws World Cup Squad.

Stuttgart 1:3 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez (46.Nordveit), Wendt - Xhaka, Kramer (59.Younes)- Herrmann, Raffael, Arango (79.Hrgota)- Kruse

Gladbach seem to be on a run. The third win in a row and 10 points out of 4 games brought the team out of the relegation area. Again it was Max Kruse, he seems to be unstoppable right now and gaint a lot of confidence right now.
Arango had been thrown into the squad, after Sinan Kurt is out injured for at least 2 weeks and he showed his experience as he showed a performance of the highest standart.

Gladbach 0:0 Freiburg

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka (65.Dahoud), Kramer - Herrmann (60.Mlapa), Raffael, Arango (60.Hrgota)- Kruse

5 game without a loss. It is getting better and better, at least result-wise. The performance again was not as everyone hoped for and again it was at a home game. Maybe the Borussia-Park is not a good place fot "die Fohlen"!

Schalke 2:1 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka (56.Dahoud), Kramer - Herrmann (62.Mlapa), Raffael, Arango (74.Hrgota)- Kruse

What a pitty. Gladbach surely didn't deserve a loss here. A win would be a fair result, as Schalke didn't have done everything for the game.
Raffael scored a real beauty, from outside of the box.

Bundesliga

Solskjaers Resume

What a relief. We finally play like I want us to play and we've got the result that meets our playing performance. Max Kruse made things happen right now and the experience from Arango where the two main factors for success at the last 5 games! Now we need to continue that way!

Transfer-earthquake in Gladbach?

Borussia Mönchengladbach is about to sign Thorgan Hazard for the next Season. The belgian midfielder said that he really would like to talk to Solskjaer, so that he can realize a deal.
Solskjaer already asked Jose Mourinho to be allowed to have talks with Eden Hazards younger brother.

Thorgan in action for Chelsea Reserve squad

In addition to the possible signing of Hazard, Solskjaer is about to strenghten his defense and maybe make the Kramer loan deal permanent. He wants to have some talks with Rudi Völler from Bayer Leverkusen.
Solskjaer also is rumored to be interested in signing young german defender Shkodran Mustafi back to the Bundesliga.

A few players might have to leave Gladbach as they've failed to impress Solskjaer.
A club-near source told us that Inter Milan is looking to buy Granit Xhaka for a fee of approximatly 20 mio €.
Also Patrick Herrmann might be a possible departure for the club. New Schalke Manager Andres Villas-Boa is interested in the german winger and would offer up to 15 mio € and Barcelona Manager Tata Martino is interested in Marc-Andre ter Stegen and would also offer up to 15 mio €.

First Deal of the Winter!

Borussia Mänchengladbach were able to make their first deal of the winter transfer market. The german Bundesliga club loaned danish youngster Lucas Andersen from hollands big player Ajax Amsterdam.

Andersen in action for Ajax Amsterdam

The danish player is about to join Gladbach until the end of the Season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is happy to have a new option to choose of.
Lucas fits perfectly in our attacking line, as he is a good technican who can go into the one-on-ones and make some space for Kruse or Raffael.

Is this deal a move to replace Patrick Herrmann?
The right winger rumordly had a talk with Solskjaer and told him that he won't be playing for Gladbach anymore as he is keen to join Gladbachs rival FC Schalke 04!
Schalke made a first offer for Herrmann, but Solskjaer told the media that "this offer probably was a joke. Patrick is a key player, he played almost every game this Season and they only offer up to 9 mio. €. We surely won't negotiate if this is the best they can offer!

Mustafi to Gladbach?

Shkodran Mustafi told the media that he would love to "come home"!
Gladbach offered around 7 mio € to Sampdoria Genua. Mustafi was everpresent for the italien side and became one of the best defenders in the Seria A!
A great story so far mate but some tough results! Looking forward to seeing how you improve the squad

Big Money for Gladbach!

After Patrick Herrmann revealed that he won't ever play for Gladbach, Solskjaer was keen to sell him as soon as possible and he made a deal. Herrmann is from now on a FC Schalke 04 player! The right winger was sold due to a minimum release clause for 20 mio. €!

Gladbach is receiving 12.5 mio € directly and the next 7.5 mio € over the first 50 Bundesliga games.
According to that Solskjaer revealed that he was able to sign Shkodran Mustafi to the Borussia-Park for a fee of 6.5 mio €.
The german U21 defender said that he "wanted to sign at a good Bundesliga club to get in sight of Joachim Löw for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Also Gladbach is a club with a great History and Solskjaer was the key to sign their. He convinced me at our first meeting!"

@k1rups thanks mate...looking to strenghten the squad as soon as possible

Former Brazil star about to join Gladbach?

Alexandre Pato, stil only 23 years young was reported to be a transfer target for Borussia Mönchengladbach! The former brazil international is stil at loan at FC Sao Paolo, but Gladbach will do everything in their power to sign the former AC Milan player.

I'm interested in going back to Europe again and Gladbach is a promising club in Germany. The Bundesliga is a league which is about to be the best in the World, said Pato.
Solskjaer told me that he wants to attack the Europe League for the next Season!

Solskjaer needs to report to the Board

Gladbach Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a board meeting at 12:00 today. What will this meeting be all about?

Sources claim that the Gladbach board is unhappy about the recent performances and the sell of Patrick Herrmann clearly didn't made Solskjaers standing any better.
The fans are happy with the sell, as "Herrmann wasn't about to play anymore at all and 20 mio. € for a unhappy player isn't that bad" said a fanclub member.

Other Sources otherwise say that Solskjaer is about to request a higher budget in order to get out of the relegation area.

New Players for Gladbach

Borussia Mönchengladbach where able to sign two players at the last day of the transfer window. The out of form german Bundesligaclub spend a total of 11 mio €.

The first player Gladbach signed was striker Andreas Cornelius from danish side Aalborg for a fee of 5 mio €. The danish striker is only 20 years old and will be used as the replacement for injured striker Max Kruse. Kruse already scored 9 goals this Season and made some important assits.

The other player Gladbach signed at last minute was former Hoffenheim player Gylfi Sigurdsson. The iclandic player signed from Barclays Premiere League club Tottenham Hotspurs. Sigurdsson was bought for a fee of 6 mio €, which is a real bargain and the Gladbach supporters seem to find a glimmer of hope that the attacking midfielder will turn the clubs fortune around!

Bundesliga Update

Gladbach 2:2 Wolfsburg

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez (53.Nordveit), Wendt - Xhaka (80.Dahoud), Kramer - Herrmann, Raffael, Arango (72.Kurt) - Kruse

A last minute goal from Ivica Olic denied us the win, which we surely deserved after a very passionate game from the squad. We dominatet Wolfsburg and they only scored the winning goal after Ivica Olic clearly was in an offside position.

Mainz 3:2 Gladbach

Gladbach: Heimeroth - Korb, Stranzl, Nordveit, Wendt - Xhaka, Kramer - Herrmann, Raffael, Arango - Kruse

What a thriller. Mainz looked like they would shoot Gladbach out of the stadium, while they scored 3 goals in the first 12 minutes. The lead held for a long time. Max Kruse then scored in the 84th minute and nobody thought that this game could see a big surprise, but only 38 seconds later it was Julian Korb who scored a goal from about 55 meters. Loris Karius was wide out of the goal to bring the ball forward, but Korb made a volley that went straight into the net. Gladbach had 2 more shoots which landed on the woodwork, but it is a synonym for the Gladbach-season that the two shoots weren't in the net and therefore they lost.

Gladbach 0:2 Augsburg

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb (46.Jantschke), Stranzl (46.Mustafi), Dominguez, Wendt - Xhaka (62.Dahoud), Kramer - Hrgota, Raffael, Younes - Kurt

The start of the second half of the Season was just like the first half. Gladbach were dominant, but didn't made anything out of it. Herrmann was sold and Kruse was out injured. Also Arango is due to private issues in his home country. Gladbach only got 3 shoots on target, but made over 20 attempts. What else can you say about Gladbach?

Frankfurt 1:0 Gladbach

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Mustafi, Wendt - Xhaka, Kramer - Hrgota, Raffael, Younes - Kurt

There is nothing to say about this game. The most boring game of the whole Season and the only shoot on target found the net!

Gladbach 1:3 Hertha BSC Berlin

Gladbach: ter Stegen - Korb, Stranzl, Mustafi, Wendt - Xhaka (67.Dahoud), Kramer - Hrgota (59.Andersen), Sigurdsson, Kurt (89.Raffael) - Cornelius

What a start for the two new players Sigurdsson and Cornelius. Sigurdsson intercepted the ball, made a direct pass to Korb and Korb directly played a killer ball to Cornelius, whom scored in the first minute his first goal for the new club.
From then on it went downhill for Gladbach and they conceded 3 goals in the first half and the game was set.

Bundesliga

Solskjaers resume

I'm not delighted from the success we need at the moment. Our new signings already showed that they can upgrade our squad. Mustafi had a good start in his first games and in the only match from Sigurdsson and Cornelius they had a good acount of themselves. Now we need to improve our goalscoring over the next months!
