'Im so happy to have come to a conclusion'
After a lot of speculation and rumours of where Diego Simeone would go after his amazing league and Europe run with Atletico Madrid, is has now been confirmed that he has signed a new four new contract with the club. Diego had huge success last season, by winning the LIGA BBVA on the last day away to Barcelona, and then being able to beat teams like Chelsea, Milan and Barcelona to reach the finals in Lisbon where he fell short after conceding in the 90th minute to a Ramos header after Atletico opened the scoring very early on with Diego Godin.
Before Diego took over Altetico Madrid, it was in quite a bad state, not having the best of teams and the results were not the best either, just avoiding relegation at some stages, and since Diego took over, he has transformed them into a team which can go anywhere. Diego stated about how happy he was regarding his new contract,
' I am so happy to have reached a agreement with the chairman about extending my stay, I feel that I have unfinished business with the club and I want to aim further than I ever have done before.'
But life wont be easy with this extended stay, as already their are a few high profile players out the club, one being their goal machine, Diego Costa who has signed for Chelsea for a fee around £32m, and their left back Filipe Luis for around who has also joined Chelsea for £15m. Knowing Diego, he wont want to leave these spots empty for long and did leave a hint about some replacements.
