Before I Begin
Yes, I am aware that I've started a gazillion sign-up games before this one, but every time I start something, something bad happens, like the save corrupting, people not reading the rules properly, people badmouthing the idea, etc.. But this time, I'm back with something that I'll have rolling saves every week on, something that requires you to read the rules properly and it's not my idea, so nobody can insult the concept and make me get annoyed and demotivated. So, without further ado, here are the rules to the newest Premier League Chairman Game...Rules
Picking A Club
1) I will have given the twenty clubs in the Premier League a budget that reflects a) their reputation (the least reputable club gets the most money) and b) their financial status (the richest club gets more money). However, the reputation of a club matters a lot more to your budgets.2) If you would like to join, just say "I'm in" or something similar and pick a number between 1 and 20. I will tell what club you have, and that is your club for the Chairman Game, unless two chairmen will happily swap clubs. In that case, I will allow you to swap clubs with another chairman.
Transfers
3) I will post all of the budgets in this thread and you will have 48 hours to send in 3 foreign transfers and 2 lower league transfers at most. You may also make unlimited bids for any free players but if there two people bid for the same player, there will be an auction in which the highest bidder out of your transfer budget wins. In order to bid for foreign and lower league players, you must go by these rules. If the player's value is less than or equal to £1m, you must bid at least £500k more than his value.
If the player's value is between £1.1m and £5m, you must bid at least £1m more than his value.
If the player's value is between £5m and £10m, you must bid at least £2.5m more than his value.
If the player's value is between £10m and £15m, you must bid at least £5m more than his value.
If the player's value is between £15m and £20m, you must bid at least £7.5m more than his value.
If the player's value is between £20m and £30m, you must bid at least £10m more than his value.
If the player's value is between £30m and £40m, you must bid at least £15m more than his value.
If the player's value is greater than £40m, you must bid at least £20m more than his value.
4) To transfer players between Premier League clubs you contact that chairman and try to negotiate a fee for the player oyou want. When/if you agree on a fee for this player, just put it in your transfers and PM them to me alongside your foreigns, lower leagues and frees, or separate if you want.
5) I will introduce a new rule in this Chairman Game, in order to make it just that little bit different from the others. As well as your three foreign and two lower league transfers, I'll allow you to sign one player who you may not be able to afford on a season-long loan. However, you will have to pay a certain amount of money for players of certain ages, and you can pay £5m to extend this player's loan at the end of the season.
If the player is aged under 18, you can get him on a season-long loan for £1m
If the player is aged between 19 and 21, you can get him on a season-long for £2.5m
If the player is aged between 22 and 30, you can get him on a season-long loan for £5m
If the player is aged over 30, you can get him on a season-long loan for £2.5m
Activity
6) Obviously, in order to play this game, you must be active. I am willing to allow any forum member to join, but if you do not show up for three days without explanation, I will give your spot in the game to somebody else who is interested. 7) This is not a requirement, but if you want to, you can write a report about what's going on in your club, such as transfers., manager sackings and how well you think your club is doing at the moment.
