Jose Mourinho will succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as the manager for Manchester United.
Mourinho, who left Real Madrid by mutual consent, was Ferguson's recommendation to succeed him at Old Trafford.
It was thought that Mourinho would take over at Chelsea, but instead he decided to take up the challenge of Man United, while at Chelsea, Rafa Benitez has been appointed as the permanent manager.
Mourinho, after taking over from Sir Alex said ''it's a fantastic opportunity for me and it was job nobody could ever turn down.''
Thousands of fans have taken to social media, to tell the world their happiness as well as the players of United, who have welcomed Mourinho to the club. On MUTV, Rio Ferdinand said ''Jose's a great manager and he's the man to carry on the United legacy.''
Mourinho's accomplishments as a manager include two Champion League's, two Premier League's, two Seria A's and one La Liga.
