The Club

Newcastle United FC are a club based in, you guessed it, Newcastle, England. A club known in recent times to buy an enormity of French players. The club's glory times are long gone as the last time they won the Premier League was in the 20th Century, 1927 to be exact. Newcastle are also known for their chairman, Mike Ashley, a despised man in English football.

So Who Am I?

I will be playing as Alan Shearer, a Newcastle legend and member of the Premier League 100 Club. This will be the Englishman's second stint as Newcastle Manager after taking over the club in 2009. I will aim to bring the glory back to Newcastle United, so stay tuned and be ready for the ride!

Newcastle Confirm Trio Of Signings

Late yesterday evening Newcastle released a stylish graphic (pictured above) with the caption "Newcastle United are proud to announce the signings of Samuel Eto'o (Free) and Tottenham's Nacer Chadli (£6.5M). We have also signed Spanish Wonderkid Keko from Catania for £950K, although we plan to loan him out so he shall not feature this season"

The Magpies new boss, and club legend, Alan Shearer has already set his mark on Tyneside with the capture of former Barcelona player Samuel Eto'o along with Tottenham Hotspur outcast Nacer Chadli. Shearer has said that he aims to challenge for europe but thought within the board are that he is being over-ambitious. Many Newcastle fans have been calling for Mike Ashley's head in recent times, as he is widely blamed for the downfall of the club.

Summary

We had a solid pre season as our new signings impressed. We managed to stay undefeated with our 4-2-3-1 with Nacer Chadli constantly threatening the opposition on every occasion. Alan Pardew left me with an incredible squad of players and I feel I've done well by improving it with a young winger in Nacer and experienced striker in Samuel Eto'o. Our first competitive game is at home against Crystal Palace where we aim to impress.

New signings Samuel Eto'o and Nacer Chadli have shone, pushing Papiss Cisse out of the squad. Next Month we hope for more of the same as we face Aston Villa(A) and West Ham(A) along with promoted QPR(H). " - Alan Shearer, Newcastle United Manager.
