Leicester City F.C: We Were Once the Underdogs

So, I'm back with my first story since February. Thus I apologise in advance, I will be a little rusty to start off.

I wanted a challenge in the most prestigious football league on earth: the Premier League. I decided to manage one of the newly promoted teams (those being QPR, Burnley and Leicester). I made the decision to manage the Foxes simply due to the fact that I admire their playing style, and their squad retains a marvellous mixture of talent.

Leicester have been the underdogs for promotion for the past few years in the Championship, finishing 5th, 10th, 9th, 6th and then of course 1st. Leicester may have just won the Championship but in the eyes of many fans they are still a weak team in comparison to the majority of clubs in the Premier League. Leicester aren't out to avoid relegation, they're out to gain a top half of the table finish, and they have a chairman willing to meet the needs of the manager to do so. Nigel Pearson and is men are out to startle the Premier League, but are they capable of doing so?

The story is going to kickoff from the day they won the Championship, so you can witness the highs and the lows of being a newly promoted club in the Premier League. Due to the fact that I'm beginning the story at end of season 13/14 rather than the beginning of 14/15, there is not much to write about at this moment in time, but the updates will be flooding in soon. Beginning with news on Nigel Pearson's position at the club, and how earning promotion into the Premier League has affected the players, the staff, the fans, and the club as a whole.

Leicester are going to be entering the impending season with a whole new approach; aware that they are seen as one of the relegation favourites, they're out show that they are a dominant side with a lot still to bring to the plate. In order to do this, tactics must be altered and players must be signed. Which of course, means some key players may no longer have such an impact in games, and others will shine. Signings will be made for the upcoming season, but not a player will sold until January. After securing promotion from the Championship, every player deserves a chance to prove themselves in the Premier League.

Thanks for reading the introduction to my story. I hope you all follow throughout, and of course, enjoy the story!
Good luck! :)
