Poll: Italian Hero Question

After taking Staines of the Skrill South all the way up the the PRM (and winning a Champions League Cup) the game has got a little stale. I'd like to switch to my actual favorite nation's league, the Italian Serie A. In doing so, I thought I could get hired on at a C2 club and fight the good fight all over again. Problem is, this is there is no C2 anymore due to league restructuring through the years.

My question: If I take a C1/A or B or C team up the ladder to Serie A, will I achieve the "Italain Hero" achievement?

I am aware of the achievement still being there, but I was wondering if Steam recognized my earning it if I take a team from a C1 league to Serie A since originally the game begins with C2 league. Please read my original post for details.
