S.S.C. Napoli!

As you(surely) will have guessed by now. In this story I will be taking over Italian team S.S.C Napoli. The Naples' side have a rich history, last winning the TIM Serie A in the 1989/90 season, with the help of Argentinian God Diego Maradona, they have not one since as Roma, Milan, Inter and Juventus have dominated Serie A in recent times. Maradona is arguably the best striker of all time; and he is the most notable of all of Napoli's great strikers in history, a list containing the likes of Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain. Napoli currently posses an incredible attacking squad but lack defensive security.

Who Am I?

I will take over Naples with a Napoli legend in the form of, the one, the only... Gianfranco Zola! He played alongside Diego Maradona for a time at Napoli, leading him to score 32 goals in 105 games for the club. In his career he achieved 193 goals in 629 games, playing for Nuorese, Torres, Napoli, Parma, Chelsea and Cagliari.
this looks interesting :)

A legend as manager! Good start. Good luck with the upcoming season.

Napoli 14/15 Transfer Roundup!

Here we are ladies and gentlemen; the end of the Italian transfer window, and by god has there been some business! In this article we will run-down S.S.C. Napoli's business, and all the reasoning behind those transfers.

Salvatore Sirigu

Napoli needed a goalkeeper after the departure of loanee Jose Reina. They dealt with this whole in the squad remarkably well, signing former PSG and Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu for £4M.

Bruno Petkovic

Bruno Petkovic is a young striker from Catania, a fellow Serie A club, who is backed by the Naples management to be able to become on of the best, a future world class striker. The £2.7M has gone on lona to france, and AS Saint-Etienne.

Fabio Coentrao

Fabio Coentrao is a Portuguese star who comes from current Champions League and Super Cup champions, CF Real Madrid. Coentrao was never a starter but his quality was never doubted, he moves to Napoli on a five-year deal for £5M.

Eduardo Salvio

"Eduardo is a player from immense quality who can serve this club well, he also has an astounding future which the club hope to build itself on." Those were the words from Napoli manager Gianfranco Zola after Salvio's Italian signing was announced, it seems to be wondered whether Salvio can cope with his expectations - although all at Naples hope he exceeds them.

William Carvalho

William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon is a born and bred defensive midfielder. The signing was a fair surprise after approaches from Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United (but to name a few). Carvalho's £17.5M deal was applauded by the Naples faithful as they view Zola's new outlook on the club as he looks to build on Napoli's future.
Dayum the signings :D

Great signings mate, will be following this. Good luck

@Lemto That two syllable damn tho!

@TonkaWolves115 Thanks mate, much appreciated, I hope the signings come in handy!
what tactic are you using?
1
@Lemto, ATM a flat 4-2-3-1 to make use of Mertens, Hamsik and Higuain. Although my Pre-Season wasn't that great (As you'll see in my pre-season report of monday), So I'm thinking about dropping Carvahlo deeper to utilize him as best I can. Control and Fluid.
