Author's notes
Hi guys: Yes, it's another story. I just hope that this one can be more successful! I'll be starting in 1888-89 as Everton (again) and I'll try to get as far as possible - You can't expect me to play for over 125 seasons though, as that would be crazy! Anyway, I'll be playing as a man called Davis Morrison, and he'll be the "main character" in this story. Basically, he picks the team. Anyway, enough from me - enjoy!
The actual story
Hello there! My name is Davis Morrison. I work for an English Football club called Everton - you may not have heard of them; they've only been around for ten years or so. Anyway, the owner of the club has appointed me to make sure that I pick the best players that they have so that can win matches in this new "Football League" thing. Seems a bit odd, if you ask me. There are twelve teams is this "league" and each team plays each other twice, meaning that everyone plays no less than twenty-two games each. Thankfully, all of the teams in this league are based in the north of England, meaning that the players and I won't have that far to travel for away games. Either way, I must leave now - I have preparation for the match against Derby County at Anfield to prepare for!
