how to get the most out of a shadow striker?

For example, if I were to want to play like Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool, here is what I would do:

1) Set Mentality to Attacking (his team has become more and more attacking over the years) and Philosophy to Very Fluid. This is the starting point, the very basics.

2) To get the passing build up play, I would think about the instructions Retain Possession, Shorter Passing, Much Higher Tempo.
In terms of how the players move, I would think about the instructions Much Higher Defensive Line, Look For Overlap.
And as for defending, Hassle Opponents is key for pressing the ball.

3) I would begin setting Player Roles and personal player instructions, starting from the keeper and moving my way forward.
The way I figure out how to set my roles and instructions for players is I build an image in my head of how I want that player to play and how they would act under certain roles/instructions. Sometimes it takes a bit of experimenting to get it right.

4) Testing the tactic. You never know if a tactic suits your style or not until you try it. Give it a few games, and see how it feels.
