My first foray into management in FM15, will be at English Championship side, AFC Bournemouth. After promotion from League 1 two seasons ago, and a very consolidating performance in the league last year, they’re a team that look to advance their popularity in English football. Why Bournemouth? Well they’re only 20 miles away from where I live, so the most local side to me without venturing into real low league management at the likes of Weymouth and Dorchester. I’m a Chelsea fan at heart, but Bournemouth have always been a team I’ve followed due to them only being down the road.
My aims? Pretty simple, European glory. Which is no doubt everybody’s aim when starting a save surely. I also want to do it using the youth facilities, I had a very good save last year in Denmark of all places, with FC Midtjylland. Went through 6 seasons developing the youth, won the Danish league 3 years in a row, and managed to get to the quarter finals of the Champions League. Taking the club from a bank balance of £1.6m - £46m. Growing players and moving them on when a nice bid came in. So what are my aims overall, starting from the small to the large.
Aims:
• Improve stature in the Championship
• Achieve promotion from Championship
• Survive in the Premiership
• Top-Half finish in the Premiership
• Achieve European Qualification
• Win the Premiership
• Win the League Cup
• Win the FA Cup
• Win the Europa League
• Win the Champions League
• Develop youth players
• Increase the standard of facilities at the club

Background
League: English Sky Bet Championship
Stadium: Dean Court (Capacity: 12,081 all-seater)
Honours: Sky Bet League 1 – 1987, Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – 1984
Highest League Position: 10th in Sky Bet Championship 2013/14

From the club’s background, the facilities aren’t brilliant with two star (adequate) youth facilities, and three star (good) training facilities. The first thing I’m going to look at improving is the standard of facilities, if the money is there to do so.
Briefly, I shall display the club’s expectations this year…

So a fairly decent amount of money in the transfer kitty, I have selected to “consolidate” giving me a transfer budget of £1.9m and a wage budget of £23k.

I have a couple of stories before, which haven’t gone particularly well, but I’m going to stick with this one through good times and bad. As Bournemouth have a little place in my heart also, and who knows what can happen.

(Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated)
A good detailed start. Keep it up and good luck for the coming season.
Thanks mate.
