BRENDAN RODGERS LEAVES LIVERPOOL

It has come to the attention in the last half hour of Sky Sports News that Brendan Rodgers has officially resigned from Liverpool Football Club to the shock of the Liverpool supporters and football fans across the world.

It is not entirely known as to the reasons that Rodgers has left one of the biggest clubs in the world, after nearly guiding them to the Premier League Title last season, however many people have suggested that Rodgers has become tired of not being able to handle as much responsibility within the club as he would like. Throughout the summer Rogers has had many arguments with the board of directors and it seems that he has now given up on trying to amend a relationship with them.

Not much is known about what is next for Brendan Rodgers, but personally I see Rogers managing a club which he feels is a proper footballing club where he can implement his philosophies. Many people have talked about a return to Swansea FC. Bookies have made him odds on favourite to take over Southampton FC after Mauricio Pocchetino has left to manage Tottenham.

RODGERS NAMED AS SOUTHAMPTON MANAGER

Brendan Rodgers has already had the fair share of headlines this summer after his shocking departure from Liverpool. He has continued to shock the footballing world by making an ironic move to Southampton FC. The irony of this moves comes through the fact before leaving Liverpool he made a number of signings from the Saints including Liverpool born Ricky Lambert and talented Englishman Adam Lallana.

However, it will be interesting to see how Rodgers deals with this new adventure and footballing fans across the world seem to agree that Rodgers fits with the Saints and he my well be the man to deliver this club to the next step of playing in Europe.

Rodgers has stated in his first press conference that he is extremely happy to be entering back into management so quickly with a team and club in which he feels he can implement his tactics and philosophies and bring success to the club. He has already been received greatly by the Saints fan who are very happy with their new appointment.

But looks good, looking forward to reading it

ALL ABOUT THE YOUNGSTERS

Brendan Rodgers has caught up with us recently in the USA as is squad are set to play their final two games against AC Milan and New England.

The Saints have had a mixed set of results so far as Rodgers tries to implement his philosophies into his new side. A disappointing 4-1 loss to Chicago was followed up by an average performance against Chivas USA which earn the Siants a 2-1 victory. However, what can be noticed from the pre season fixtures is Rodgers confidence in his young players. During Rodger's spell at the club we have seen the 19 year old Scottish player John Mcginn brought in from St. Mirren for £350k who is a very promising talent and the Saints have done very well to snap him up for such a small fee. A number of youngsters have caught Rodgers eyes and he has stated his desire to implement these players in competitive fixtures this season.

Rodgers has named one particular individual who he believes can accuse shockwaves in the premier league this season if he gains the confidence which Rodgers himself believes he has a key part to play in developing.

The only troubling news for Rodgers and Saints fans so far is the news that Nathaniel Clyne sees his future elsewhere with the likes of Tottenham who offer continental football knocking on the door for the young English right back. Although Rodgers has stated he would like to keep the young talent at the club he seems to have accepted the fact Clyne will probably be leaving this transfer window. This is due to the fact he has signed the German right back Dennis Deiekmieir.

The attacking full back seems to fit in with Rodgers desires for an attacking philosophy and the Saints fans have already expressed their delight in gaining such a talented player for only a small transfer fee of around £5.5 million. Rodgers has also stated he would like to bring in youngster Jon Flannagan to strengthen his squad in that position on loan this season although this may be uniquely due to Rodger's poor relationship with the Liverpool board who may well block the loan even though the new Liverpool manager seems to believe it would be a good deal for both clubs.
Quite surprising choice of manager!! Good luck for the coming season.
Good luck!
