Senna unveiled. Pellegrini returns.
Villarreal officially unveiled their newly appointed manager Marcos Senna today at the El Madrigal. The former Villarreal midfielder signed a 3 year contract which will keep him in charge until the end of the 2016/2017 season.
Marcos Senna met the press this afternoon at his unveiling.
“It’s thrilling to be back at the El Madrigal” claimed Senna.
“It is an opportunity I couldn't possibly refuse, to return to the club that gave me the best years of my career.”
“It is an enormous responsibility, and one that I am relishing to take charge of. The Amarillo supporters gave me so much when I was here. I will work as hard as I can to give something back to them.”

The Valencian club also confirmed a return for former-Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini who will be undertaking a technical director role at the club.
The experienced Chilean was recently sacked from the current English Champions, despite delivering the Premier League title, due to what is believed to be interpersonal disputes.
Pellegrini, 61, is happy to return to his former club and is relishing the new challenge.
“I am very pleased to make a return, to a club I left a little prematurely.” announced Pellegrini.
“The last few weeks have been very difficult, but that is another matter. This challenge, it is new. It is different. I feel comfortable taking it on. I am confident for the forthcoming future for the club.”
“I will be upstairs if Marcos needs anything. Marcos will work day to day. He will deal with the tactics, the philosophy, the emotion. He knows what it means to wear the yellow shirt. He will develop the squad, as footballers and as people.”
“My colleagues and I will look at the bigger picture. Finances. The future. The young players. We are always looking and always recruiting.”
When asked of how he will adapt from the dug out to the directors box, Pellegrini responded with some relief.
“It is a positive change. It is beneficial to me and my family. It will be difficult, but perhaps less demanding. I can give everything to the club, and still devote time to my family.”
“Coaching now, it is for young and progressive coaches, always moving and always adapting. It was the right time for me to broaden my horizon.”

Marcos Senna expressed his delight in being reunited with his former boss.
“It is exciting to be working with him again. He propelled my career to where it is today. He got the very best out of me and my team mates. We perhaps have unfinished business here.”
“It is my first coaching experience. To have Manuel to go to will be of a huge benefit for me and the club. We can most certainly make history together.”
Senna, 38, was asked by the media if there was any chance of him giving himself a squad number for the forthcoming season, to which he reacted defiantly.
“No, no. I wouldn’t be able to keep up! These young guys. they are much faster than me. My knees are finished.”
Villarreal’s summer training camp and pre-season tour is due to commence later this week, where Senna will take charge of his first game as manager.
