Great business and really really nice update, keep it up!
The most important bit of business you could have done was to get Reus to commit to the club! An amazing player who I admire for not being a money grabber! Good luck with the coming season.
Nice update and a great signing. And I'm glad you got rid of Reus' release clause, it was really ridiculous, regarding his market value.
I'm curious to see if there will be any further signings and if any player leaves the club.

Good luck this season!
Great start. Really enjoying your approach on articles
Zap: Cheers man, will do! :)

James: I agree! I'm glad I was able to get him on lower than 100K p/w. Was quite surprised though.

Retrogott: So am I! Why they have it in the first place is beyond me. I think we'll only see transfers in if we see transfers out so we may see a few outgoings.

Inquisition: Cheers mate, glad you're enjoying! :)

Dortmund set for Super cup defeat after rotten Pre-season

Disappointed - That's how Dortmund fans will be feeling after Dortmund's poor pr -season

After news emerged that Reus would be signing a new contract with Dortmund, things were suddenly looking up for the team and fans but after a poor pre-season...The BVB faithful will have every right to be worried for the coming competitive season, and the Super Cup fixture against Bayern Munich.

Die Borussen started with what looked to be a simple start to the Pre-Season campaign as they took on Austria Lustenau. A very small club which should be a walk over for Klopp's men. Somehow, Lustenau turned on the style by netting five goals.

Dortmund on the other hand could only manage to secure a measly two goals which saw them lose heavily to a relatively poor team that they should be tearing apart.

Things grew even worse for the team in their second game. Kapfenberger, another small team that really shouldn't be able to stand up the likes of Dortmund but that was not the case. Kapfenberger sealed the first goal in this game in only the third minute.

BVB were finished half an hour later when Jan Haslauer broke free of the last man in the back line to run onto a neat killer pass from Kossi. Haslauer had no trouble toe poking it past Langerak.

They were looking ever so slightly better in the next game against German side Lotte. Another small team. Compared to Dortmund anyway. Finally, the yellow's got the first goal of a game in pre-season and this turned out to be the only goal.

A win for Dortmund would certainly raise the confidence but against a team like this, they shouldn't be having the problems they did.

Tougher games were to come now. The Germans would face up to Portuguese outfit Sporting, but not before Valencia would attempt to get their hands on Dortmund.

Judging by previous results, it was widely expected that Valencia would take the win. And a big one at that. However, Dortmund had other ideas. Finally a solid performance that the fans were craving.

Immobile and co were not quite in control at the top of the field, but the likes of Subotic and Piszczek put in a blinder of a performance making sure that the Los Che were kept from putting the ball into their net.

So, the bigger and better game left till last. Dortmund would be looking to improve in the attacking areas of their game and keep consistent at the back. Sporting's job was as ever to spoil the bigger teams day.

Klopps men were having none of that though. A good attacking performance was met with an equally as good defensive performance. Four goals were left in the back of Sporting's net. All by Immobile and Aubameyang. Once again, the back line were solid and ensured consistency. Something to give fans a little hope for the Super Cup match.

Realistically, Dortmund's chances in this next game against Bayern were very minimal. Die Borussen will be without most of their players. All German. Munich on the other hand have a fully fledged World beating squad in their Arsenal.
nice summary of the pre-season so far. really unlucky start for your side, i hope the squad will do much better when the season starts, but you should have better chances, as soon as the world cup participants return back to the club.
good luck in supercup final against bayern munich!
