Just a bit of a background before i started... I did have a Guiseley story but after i found out about Steve’s 85 FM15 update roster i decided to give that a download, then i updated the Guiseley roster adding players that are in the database that should be in the Guiseley family and the ones i removed them as free transfer to the ones who aren’t in the club anymore.
Also some ground rules. I will not be giving any player more money then 500k per week. The only ones that do are the key players. When I mention Key players i mean top players. How will that be determined? Each position so theres GK, D, M, AM/ST each position will get a max of 2 key players. So those key players can make between 500k and 650 max no more then that. If they want to resign for more then that then we simply will let them go as free transfers or keep them on as out of contract players until we get a replacement at a cheaper rate.
As far as players go we will only be able to bring in Regen players, ones that play in the England Invitational or loans from our parent club. We will not be buying any other players that is the only way i will be bringing in players for this club even when we are in the higher up England Leagues.
Each Roster Main, U21, U18 will only carry 2 GK, 6 Defenders, 6 midfielders and 4 strikers for a total of a 18 player roster. We don’t want to waste money for players who are not playing or make players unhappy with playing time. This way if players get injured then we have the extra players to fill in for them until they return.
The Countries we have selected are:
Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, N.Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, USA, Wales
Only England will be playable all of the other countries will be set for their lowest league and watch only.
Here we go:
Just a bit of history of myself
Growing up in Hamilton, Ontario Canada I was a huge hockey fan and after completing the SWMM scouting and GM course I knew what it would take to run a successful franchise. However there was no shot in becoming a team manager in hockey unless you had your foot in the door or basically knew someone. Like the saying goes it’s not what you know it’s who you know. So I decided to take my management skills and apply them to a soccer team. So here I am sitting in my Hamilton apartment as i just finished my smww hockey gm and scouting course I have decided to give up my hockey dream and begin my soccer manager team. After a poor past couple of seasons it was known in the media that the Guiseley FC has recently fired their Manager and has begun their search for their new manager in hopes to change the franchise around and build their club. As I look at the possible ideas to help change the club I would decide to fax my resume to the ownership of Guiseley FC and after a few interviews as a canadate for the manager position I got a few phone calls later to find out that out of all of the managers that they interviewed i was the best one for the job so now I have been named as the new Guiseley FC Team Manager.
Also as a little background even though I’m Canadian and playing in the England league i have selected the following leagues:
Little background info on my manager styles, I am a rebuilder through our youth squads..
Attacking, Defending, Fitness, Tactical, Technical – 7
Goalkeepers - 4, Mental – 5
Working with Youngsters – 11
Player Knowledge - 5, Yougster Knowledge – 12
Determination, Level of Discipline, Man Management – 5
Motivating – 12
Adaptability – 4
With what I said above about the players, I have a plan for developing players. Once they come in as Youth intake they begin at the U18 for a full season and a bit. If they continue to get a 7.5 or higher they move up to our U21 for some seasoning. If after half a season or full season they get 7.5 or more rating then they move up to our main squad.
We start the story off with a minus 307k in projected balance we want to be able to get that up as our training facilities are poor and we have basic youth facilities so we want to improve that as well as we want to hire more staff down the road to develop our youth players better.
We begin with 0 transfer budget and 9k wage budget per week to work with. Our boards plans are to participate in the playoffs so that will be a challenging task to do but we will see at season end where we are.
July 8th
We have named Darren Barnard as the new Director of Football. He will be responsible for finding a new club for Youth Team Players i have listed for loan as well as senior members.

The bad news is that he was a 575k player. With that being said once he is back from injury he will be a split with our main squad and our U21. People will say well how our main squad is full. Well he will serve as a member of the U21 mainly however if one of our strikers go down he will serve as a back up to them until he is main squad ready.
